We should be getting some nice weather, as it's summer.

But we're not... and it's not fair!

It's official. Our region has had the coldest temperatures on average in December since records began in the 1920s.

Pitiful.

It's summer here, by the way.

Gosh! I know...it sucks.

But today was different! It was sunny and no wind! I went to the beach...good stuff, managed a bit of sunburn but oh well!

Agreed - today was awesome!

It was good to just get outside for once.

Now: New Zealand's Tournament in the International Women's Tennis circuit is on this week being held in Auckland, the ASB Classic.

All the kiwis have been knocked out, but oh well.

We've had one of the warmest Decembers ever - I can't believe it is January now and temperatures actually have not dipped below 8 during the daytime (or at least down south!)

I hear Lapland doesn't have any snow either! But then in the South of England we don't get snow until the end of Jan either - that privilege goes to the Northerners or Scots.

Hey, we haven't seen any trace of snow yet up here in the North. It is strange and unnatural, but there's not much we can do about it. I mean, I never get that much snow where I am in Leeds- but my gran lives in the middle of the North York Moors. She's usually waist-deep in snow from the end of November to February- but there hasn't been any snowfall at all since last March.

Yeah it's totally crazy! My theory is that the seasons will eventually do a complete flip and England will have summers in winter and NZ will have winter in summer!

Don´t forget Sweden haven´t had a snowflake at all this winter.. the trees are having buds and small flowers are trying to get the hang of what month it really is..

This is really weird...

The last couple of days were really bland days pretty much no sun but really incredibly hot!

Woot- gale force winds and traces of snow, a month and a half late but finally here! We have fences being blown over, roof tiles being damaged and everything now. Aren't we lucky?
