[Phoenix in the Ashes]

"Stop," the Merguard next to him put a hand out in front of Dinas. "Pass me your wand."

[choki]

"You're right... Weasley wasn't supposed to be like that. I wonder what happened between Dinas and Weasley... or with the other professors since none came to help at all... Dinas was never popular among the students too," said Arven.

After a long pause and the crowd almost all gone, Arven spoke. "Do you think we should do something about it?"

Rowena had stayed outside, and moved towards Arven and Misty.
"No one else is bothered, but we can't just leave him with the Merpeople- we need to help Professor Dinas."

[Scarlet Lioness]

"You know...Weasley has been acting weird lately. I'm going to jump to a conclusion here, but I'd say, it was the Imperious Curse...he would never, do this to a collegue. Where's Johnathon?? He may have an idea..."

"I'll go find him" Arven said quickly.

Misty turned to Rowena. "Can you go find a teacher. Ask them to come and help. And..If they don't want to help, then whoever is controlling the Headmaster, must be controlling almost all of the staff. WHen you've been to one teacher, go find another, take someone you can trust with you. Find Terry. I think I saw him over there." Points over to the left. "Write down the names, or remember the names of the teachers who won't come. There's bound to be one teacher not affected. Hopefully I'm right..." she took a big, deep breath.

Please be right Misty, this is your chance to actually be a Head Girl.. she thought.

[Q.Araignee]

Rowena nodded- "Will do."

She set off at a sprint towards Terry, grabbing his shoulders by the doors.
"Hey, can you help me out for a bit?" He didn't reply- he just stared blankly ahead and kept making for the stairs. Sighing, Rowena released him. I'll just have to go myself, dear Lady help me!

She scrabbled around in her bag for a piece of parchment and her Self-Inking Quill- withdrawing them, she looked around for any teachers still outside. Professor Lupin was still hanging around her Potions class, but heading for the Dungeons.

"Professor Lupin..."

Misty noticed that Terry didn't react at all to what Rowena had said, so she walked briskly following him into the Entrance Hall. "Terry!" she shouted. No reply. "Terry! Forgoodness sakes, listen to me!!!" she sighed.

It seemed as though her friend was also under an influence of a spell. What is this world coming to!???

What happened?

This, certainly, was not supposed to have. When he put the Imperius Curse on the staff, it was supposed to protect him.

How did it go wrong?

For a moment he wondered whether there was someone else. But he had cursed all the staff?

But somebody had cursed them afterwards, to do their own bidding.

But then he halted, and the merguards reacted at the sudden lack of movement.

Lupin? He hadn't cursed him - there was no opportunity to do so.

But how? Lupin was so... so good.

A thought struck her. The only normal acting teacher is Lupin...Lupin?? No...he's far too nice. Though...maybe thats just a show. It couldn't be him.

[Q.Araignee]

The Professor turned around, "Yes?"

Ah, someone normal! But...did he fight the spell, or cast it?

Rowena pushed the intrusive thought aside. "Professor, would you helping me, Misty and Arven out with something please?"
She waited anxiously for an answer- he wasn't under the Imperious Curse, but would he think them foolish and ignore them or perhaps wipe her own memory and Curse her? She placed her hand in her pocket, feeling the cool wood beneath her fingers, and held her breath.

"Of course I will- I have a feeling I know what you need help with. Is it the Headmaster and the rest of the staff and students, by any chance?" A worried smile seemed to appear for a moment as Rowena breathed a sigh of relief.
"Yes sir, it is. I'll take you to Misty."

Misty walked very briskly to Lupins office. It took ages to get tothe dungeons. Please Rowena, don't go to Lupin first...

She turned the corner.

[Q.Araignee]

Rowena blinked as Misty came hurtling around the corner, and smiled .
"Hey, I was coming to look for you- Professor Lupin said he'd help us."

The only explamnation is that - is that Lupin discovered what I'm planning to do...

Impossible!

But with the stark reality of nature, Dinas realised how very possible it was.

Lupin was going to do everything possible to stop him. Even breaking the law.

Though, Dinas wondered thoughtfully, what I'm doing is so far over the line breaking the law would be necessary to stop it.

But the Imperius Curse? Would he sink as low as I?

After splitting ways with Misty and Rowena, Arven looked around the castle for Johnathan. First, she tried the Gryffindor dormitory, then the tower where his next lesson, Charms, would be. However, there was still no sight of Johnathan.

Turning around a corner, Arven spotted a familar back.

"Johnathan!" Arven shouted, trying to get his attention but he paid no attention to it and turned at the next corner. She quickly followed him.

"Oh...right." She grumbled inward.

[Q.Araignee]

Misty didn't seem as pleased as Rowena had thought she would, but she shrugged the feeling off.
"Anyway, erm, what should we do-"
As the wand tip touched her back, she stopped talking with a fleeting look of shock and betrayal. Behind her, Professor Lupin said "I should be finishing what I came to do- and you two should be going back to your Common Rooms without a thought for what occured."
What have I done?!
