Hogwarts '06/7

A home for old scenarios who may have come to an end for RPG playing but whose life and excitement can still be enjoyed in story form.

Eventually, Misty realised that she was missing out on something.

She hurried to the window, she pushed a fellow classmate out the way.

"Your majesty," started Dinas slowly, "would you like to see the headmaster? I shall run and get him-"

"Stop..." the king replied softly, stunning Dinas dead in his tracks. "Someone else can get him - you are coming with us."

"C-c-coming with you? I most certainly will not!"

"Oh no?" the Merking pointed a long trident-shaped golden weapon at the students looking from the window. "You will not?"

Mer-magic was powerful. Dinas was a very gifted wizard that could take on a group of over twenty ordinary merpeople and win - but this was not ordinary merman. He had the abilities of the whole tribe behind him - they gave him his power.

And that was a lot of power.

Terrin Dinas obliged. He followed the Merking down into the icy depths of the water, after performing a simple little Bubble-head charm so he could breathe.

Merpeople never come ashore...I better tell the Headmaster...

She pushed back past her classmate, and ran to the Headmaster's office.

Performing many different charms to have beeter sight and keep warm kept Dinas occupied for the next ten minutes, as he was led through the murky depths of the lake.

Rowena just stared at the Lake- Professor Dinas had just walked into it, following the merpeople, as if that was the most normal thing in the world, and no one seemed to be doing anything about it. She couldn't understand it, and yet she didn't seem able to do anything about it.

Rooted to the ground, Arven stared intensively on the surface of the lake, expecting Dinas to reappear any sooner. But as minutes went by, not even a small ripple was seen.

The crowd around the lake started to get bigger as more students gathered around it. However, no one dared to step any closer to where Dinas had been standing much earlier on. All were speaking in hushed tone until she saw Headmaster Weasley with Misty tailing along walking towards the lake.

Rowena turned to see Misty and the Headmaster having to push against the crowd of students, and began to realise the seriousness of the situation. In that moment, she managed to shuffle to the front of the school pupils before feeling stuck once more.

Misty walked behind Headmaster Weasley, he was walking rather quickly.

There was a crowd around the lake, she noticed.

Headmaster Weasley had a look of faint satisfaction on his face, even though he couldn't let himself get too enthusiastic of it.

Dinas had been irritating him for a while now.

"Let him rot," the Headmaster said, "and besides, if anyone can get out of the situation he's in, it's him. He's been pushing the buttons of those merpeople for years, it was only a matter of time," and stalked off back to the castle.

The students were stunned.

Misty was stunned.

So that's what the rumour was about...Weasley must've been about to sack Dinas...but, the Quidditch Tournament. That better still be happening

But MIsty couldn't help feeling sorry for the bloke. Merpeople weren't exactly...kind.

Dinas swam on - he had a sickening feeling he knew what this was about.

Rather surprised by the lack of support from Headmaster Weasley, Arven edged closer to Misty as the crowd started to disperse.

"What's going on? Now whose gonna help Dinas?" Arven asked from behind.

Weasley wouldn't - surely he wouldn't?

Dinas was sure he knew Weasley's character better than that...

Didn't he?

Terrin wondered: The Imperius Curse?

"I don't know.." She looked back over her shoulder to see Arven. "Another teacher maybe? No...they're all in classes...we need someone familiar with Merpeople...Umm..."

She looked around, desperate to think of a solution. "Arven...Headmaster Weasley isn't usually like this, is he?? You've been to see him as much as I have...He couldn't be...no, he can't...who?? Who would do that??"

Misty stood deep in thought.
