With me, Harry Potter just became so well known that you just bought it wether you knew it was good or not....and also, even though the first few pages aren't really about much I was just driven to read the rest because i
I knew it would get better and I wouldn't put it down until it did! JKR is very good at leaving you little hints so that it makes you read a few more pages just to see what she meant...
if that makes any sense???

I got hooked b/c the first movie was coming out, and my mother wouldn't take me to see it untill I had read the book.... I read it in like a week ((I was young so that is a good time!)) and I liked it soooo much I kept reading.... I had read the 1st book about 5 times b/c I actually saw the movie... and then I saw the movie, that made me get sooooooo in to HP that it was sadddd... I had read alllll the books about 20-30 times a peice in just the first year... after that it's just I kept reading in to HP, and got all the new books... In this case, I think the story talks for itself... lol

Let's just say I've read the 3rd one so many times I've lost count, the only one I haven't read over 5 times is HBP.

I am your age and I have time to read only over night, which is not very smart. I think that i would forget about HP if I don't come here, and that is once in every second weekend! :-?

Well some people can read ridiculously fast...a book the size of the 3rd one would probably take my big sister and oyfriend less than a night to read.

True. And once people have read the same book many times they tend to skip parts too.

Oh boy...how did I get started? It all started when i was in 3rd grade. I always wanted to read a Harry Potter book so i gave it a try. But the thing was I could never get past the 3rd page untill 5th grade. I finally finished the 1st book and really enjoyed it so I read the next book. Finally when I saw previews for the 4th book i put down book 2 and started reading book 4. I was really surprised when i finished it because that book is 734 pages. Thats pretty much how I got hooked. I ususally don't like to read book but Jo has really changed my mind. Jo is just so good at capturing the readers mind and keeping them. I have always liked to write so I hope that when i grow up I can actually capture the readers minds too and become a success. :D
