Sorry - I don't mean to frustrate you. It's been a while since I read HBP now so if I read it again soon I'll look out for it properly. I think JKR left it a bit open really. I think it's that bit in GoF really when he says something along the lines of "you all knew the lengths I have been to, to ensure my immortality" I can't remember the exact words now as I don't have it in front of me but it was definitely along those lines.
Lets get back to horcruxes:
1) the diary
2) Marvolo's ring
3) the cup
4) the locket
5) something of Rowena/Godric
6) the part of soul which is in Voldemort himself
7) Harry
I think that's it
i think so and so did dumbledore. a separate spell from the ak is used to make a horcrux, so voldy wouldn't be able to make harry a horcrux, the moment v came in he had to battle harry's parents, and after trying to kill harry v was almost dead. besides, v wouldn't make a horcrux out of harry if he was trying to kill him.
that would be ironic.. the horcrux staring them in the face this whole time. Sounds like something JK might do, but still it would be to easy to get it I think.. LV probably has it guarded very securely like he did with the locket, I mean anyone can probably get access to the trophy room.
Sure it would be guarded. What better place to keep something safe than Hogwarts? Hagrid said it himself. And I'm sure that there would be a spell on the case or something. It might even be in a dusty old corner somewhere where everyone's forgot about it. Or even in Dumbledore's office. Late one that is. Or a massage to get to it was through something in there. Possiby the cupboard where DD kept his pensieve. And that could have been another reason why it was ajar when Harry walked in there in the fourth book! Voldemort wanted him dead so "Moody" opened it slightly because, knowing Harry, he would look in there and he might get killed by one of the things guarding it!
How would Moody know that?
What, did DD NEVER go into the trophy room?
Are you kidding, Flich letting a trophy (or any part of the room) get dirty and dusty when there are students who have detentions not clean it?
That's not the Flich I know!
