I heard that J.K Rowling said that in one of the new books, there will be a death of a major character. Is this just another rumour? A lot of people think it may be Harry, but if it is true, I believe it may be Dumbledore... he IS getting "up there".
Please confirm, someone!

I've heard the same thing... there's been a lot of speculation in many of my discussion groups. Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Hagrid, and Snape seem to be the favorites thus far.

jk has said that a fan of harry's will die in the next installment. I've whittled this down to;
1 of the Creevey's
Hagrid
Percy (although i think he will die later on. but yes i think he dies!)

Well,if Harry dies it will be in the end of the 7th book.If there is a death in the 5th book i hope it will be Goyle or Lavender's sister.
