The lessons were long and tiring. OVer and over Remmy would have to complete a flying course with enchanted brooms that would pop in front of her out of nowhere and she would have to avoid them, or else start over. The brooms flew in no pattern, so each time she flew the course, her reaction time, stability, and broom control were tested. Then they moved on to seeking ability. Each time the snitch seemed to become easier and easier to catch, so her coach stepped it up. A smaller, faster moving snitch was used. Bludgers and other obstacles were added. After seeking, Remmy did laps. If they weren't completed in the alotted time limit, fifteen more were added. She may not have had a the money for a Firebolt, but the rider really made the broom, and Remmy could make her broom go twice as fast as a Firebolt, no sweat.
Back in the Ravenclaw Common Room after practice, Remmy completed her Charms homework, and then further researched a few new charms and tested them successfully.
She sent her owl, Snowy off with a letter to her parents.
Dear Mom and Dad,
I'm having a great time here at Hogwarts. I'm captain of the Quidditch team again this year. We have a great new keeper. Not a quaffle can get by her. Snowy is doing great, too. Be sure to give him a bit of food if he hasn't carried in his prey with him. How are you guys? I hope the fishery is holding up. Do you like the cakes I sent you? The homework is a little harder than last year, but it's not bad. Can you send me my graded school work and next semester's curriculum from there? I've enclosed this semester's Calculus, World Studies 3, and Chemistry work.
I have to go, but I'll write back if you do.
Love,
Remmy.
