After another restless night, Rowena woke up with Nox licking her face.
"Gerroff me, please." she mumbled, as she cleaned herself up. She got dressed, plaited her hair and grabbed her Firebolt before heading down to breakfast- she needed some proper food inside her if she was going to get on the team today.
But by quarter past 8, she was unable to sit still. There were quite a few people in the hall now, and Rowena wanted some quiet. So she headed down to the Quidditch pitch, though she knew she was far too early for the tryouts- she thought she'd just see if she could fly as well as she had in her flying lesson yesterday.

Alex reached the quidditch pitch at around 9 am, it was empty but for a first year who seemed like she could fly pretty well but was very nervous; He already took notice of her in her dada lesson and was considering trying to help her...
-Nah not yet, if she wants help she'll ask.. for today Dinas would defenitely do...
He flew for about an hour before dociding that Dinas would probably have finished breakfast and hopefully be in his office now
He dismounted and started making towards the charm class and Dinas's office...
He knocked on the office door waiting for reply

Arriving at the pitch she noticed a 1st year practising for Quidditch...she could fly well she noticed but she also looked nervous...

She sat down and surveyed the pitch and the weather...perfect conditions for tryouts...not too sunny not too cold...

Landing for a few minutes, Rowena was extremely relieved- she flew just as well, if not better, than yesterday. She'd seen her DADA teacher earlier, but hadn't had the confidence to ask for advice.

When the Head-Girl arrived, Rowena still felt a little embarasssed about bumbing into her on the first day. With a deep breath, she approached with two intentions.

"Hi, I'm Rowena. I just wanted to apologise properly for knocking you on the stairs on the first day." She paused and then added- "And I was wandering if you had any tips about my flying, I'm trying for Seeker."

Misty saw the girl land and start to come towards her...she said her name was Rowena and that she was sorry for bumping into me...and asked for advice..

She replied "I'm Misty or somepeople call me Lee-lee...but yeah..Well, you seem like your a really good flyer just from watching you down here...maybe if you sank into your broom more you could get your speed up like this..."
Misty hopped on her broom and showed Rowena the difference...and Rowena hopped on her broom...when she landed..

"It is easier!!" she smiled...

"You can also manipulate the broom more and move around other seekers easier if your closer to you broom as well as getting up to a high speed..."

"Thank You so much!!!"

"Good Luck for the tryouts Rowena..."

Dinas heard a knock at the door.

He scrambled out form behind his desk, put his book down, and opened the oak door slowly, peering around.

"Oh," he said. "Good morning, Professor. How may I help you?"

"Oh hi, Prof.. I mean Deputy Head.. can I call you Terrin? .. you sure can call me Alex - I thougt those formalities aren't necessary between us teachers.."

He started again after a very brief pause "Well anyways Deputy Headmaster", he said unsurely "I wanted your help, your assistance, or actually your cooperation..."

"With what, precisely?"

"Well sorry for being a bit nervous I'm like that around authority figures and I do see you as the authoritive figure here. And, well I guess its more like that when they're people I used to be a fan of... the "Terrin" is one of favorite moves..."

"Ok, I am sure that I am more than capable of doing my job ok, but I would like to do it great - so I would like to have some practice in Charms - I think that it is always good and even necessary to practice and improve our skills, and I can't think of a more capable teacher than yourself; I say cooperation because I think you can gain from it too - there is always room for improvement I think, and teaching me the more advanced work of Charms, can help I think even you..."

Besides I was hoping we could be friends - he thought to himself but decided not to say it right now - don't want to sound too needy...

"I'm sorry... you are the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor aren't you? How don't you.. know, some advanced charms work already?

He was secretly asking himself who on earth would hire such a blibbering twit.

"Again", Alex replied, "I do think I know all the charms work I need to.. and more than that I should think. But I do aknowledge that in oreder to give the students even better teaching, I can improve on that skill specifically. I do know the charms, and well, I think, but surely you know there is more to charms than just knowing the incantations and wand movements - the nuances, the syllables to wand swishes ratio, the psychological aspects - things for which more practice is always wanted - I do not need you to teach me, I do intend to practice these things more - and practicing with another wizard especially experienced as you will be much better. And again it could be mutually beneiciall.
I want us to have good relations and cooperation and this could be a good start for that."

Secretly he was telling himself it went almost perfect - he wasn't really so nervous - he wasn't faking it but he did learn over the years that with some people it's better to show the nervousness - let them feel you respect them, that you are asking the favour from them; And only then to show how it could help them too. He also thought he got one questione answered - it wasn't Dinas who hired him, who wanted him for the job.

It was 10:45 when the first people starting coming...
Misty looked at her watch...10:55...the tryouts would begin soon...

"Right... well, I suppose I could give you a few tips here and there. If there's anything you ever want to know, just come along and I'll inform you if I know any better."

Dinas was getting sick of the nervousness routine the DADA professor appeared to be giving him.

As more people started arriving for the tryouts, Rowena felt more nervous. But she viciously pushed the feeling aside.
If you're nervous, you'll think too much about what you're doing and scr*w up! she told herself. Misty said you were a pretty good flyer, so make sure you do yourself justice, damn it.
With a serene smile, Rowena waited patiently and calmly for the tryouts to begin.

Soon it was 11...and the last few people arrived...

Misty began.."Hi guys...I'm Misty as some of you already know and some don't...I'm the Captain, and this year we need fast, aggressive, capable, and commited players...anyone who isn't those things, you can leave right now..." She looked around...no one left..."Good...Now I'm going to call out everyone on the list, when I call your name, come to me and I'll have a look at you...some of you may be suited for another position on the team...and then I want you to fly around the pitch...once...as fast as you can, don't be nervous..Ok?? Everyone understand???" People nodded...

Ok...

"First up...Michael Stewart..."

Michael was a heavily built 4th year... he would be a good beater she thought...he had put down Keeper...she wrote next to it, Beater...

He mounted his broom and flew around the pitch...Misty nodded and smiled...potential beater...he landed...she smiled at him...

"Next...is...Rowena..."
