Personally, I quite like it really... I'm about to defeat Scarlet Lioness in one or two moves...

Though of course it's not about winning .

Er, actually if you'll look at the math replay history browser thingee, you'll see that I always have the advantage by at least one bishop... by the end a lot more.

Sooo... you were never winning! muahaha...

But considering you didn't, strictly speaking, know how to play... this is a little sad .

And I won by the way, to all you playing at home.

How do I do this? QA has asked me to join up but I'm not sure what I'm doing!! Do I need a new username, password etc?

You do need to register for the chess, the registrations don't carry through from the forum. You will then get an email to activate and then its a case of either asking pheonix to suggest somebody to play, I think pheonix is collecting the usernames...or telling the person you want to play to challenge you/challenging them.

Its quite easy, you don't need to be online at the same time as the other person, the only annoying bit is that you need to have played 3 games to show up in the member list so its quite hard to find someone to play unless you can locate pheonix's profile and steal opponents from there.

Simply PM me after you've signed up. The site and Chess aren't linked yet so you can create a completely new username on it etc..

Just pass on you name to me once you've joined, and I'll add you to the list that's in the other thread of this forum.

I haven't played for like 4 or 5 years and even then I wasn't very good at winning without cheating or blackmailing....

Scellanis is really the only person that's beaten me so far.. (and I say beaten because really I'm only delaying the inevitable here, even though it's not over).

I'm beating Q.A rather comprehensively.. and UAP.

Paul hasn't replied in a while... though if memory serves we were about even ten moves in.

But it's not over yet, Scellanis!...

im not sure i mannaged to take even one of your pieces out... but considering i havent played for at least 10 yrs probably and even then i wasnt good - thats just ok...

anyways i had an idea - could u arrange for the chess to give notification like the forum? it could make things quicker - youll know when your opponent moved
