Hee Hee!

I'm 19 and I have my license and my own shiny beautiful car (my precious)

It's so great being a teenager!

Sadly that will all end when I turn 20 in 3 months

Oh well!

 You guys crack me up

I know some 100 year olds who are still enjoying life - so I don't think a birthday has anything to do with it!

haha!! Yeah I'm only kidding really it's just that there's something about birthdays now that's different. I remember always heading out to the clubs on my birthdays and having a great time with my mates and stuff and just living a free-from-worry lifestyle. I do still go out on my birthdays but we're all a bit more grown up about it now - how sad!

The other sad thing is, now I have a responsible job, a mortgage and I'm now married. I'm not saying my life is over because it isn't - far from it. I guess I can now afford to have a bit of fun and I desperately want to hand onto my childhood that little bit longer (hence no kids until I feel a bit more fulfilled!)

I went to the cinema with my big sis and her boyfriend on possibly my 18th birthday but thats it...no parties, nothing, I stay in with my family and have birthday presents and birthday tea....I want to have a party this year but it requires stealing my boyfriend's flat.

Oh, you know, I'm beginning to think that once I have kids I can re-live my childhood again with them. I could play dolls, for example

selene - when was your birthday?

Hi actually you're probably right!! I guess I never thought of it that way but then the first couple of years is going to be hard work that I don't think it would be like reliving childhood until they hit talking/walking/potty training and can enjoy and remember stuff.

PS - sorry for that typo - I didn't mean "hand onto childhood" I meant "hold onto childhood"

Don't get me wrong, I look forward to the day when we have kids but I'd be a fool to not be worried and responsible about it. My nephew is coming up to 2 years old now and he's fab but I know my sister and brother-in-law found it a complete system shock learning to cope.
