Should we make the book choices bi-monthly or quarterly?

Postby Paul » Monday 19 June 2006 7:41:17pm

I'm not sure if everyone is like me but I must admit that I'm finding it a bit difficult to keep up with one book each month. Despite best intentions I've only got about 100 pages through Inkheart and it's almost the end of June. Maybe it's just because it's been a particularly hectic time for me these last few weeks, but I'm figuring other members may also be in similar situations.

Until we maybe get more active members in this new area, what does everyone think about making things on a bi-monthly or quarterly basis for the book choices? I'm thinking that this way it would give everyone a better chance to keep up with the selections.

Yep, I can't keep up either, am still only half way through inkheart...

Maybe make it 3 months...then you can have 1 month to get a copy, 1 month to read it and then the last month to discuss it.

A good idea! I think 3 months are OK! Moreover, we could still let the discussions for the previous books continue so that once a person has read the book he/she can participate.

Well I know you can get it on amazon and if you are in Britain then Otakers sells it.

Make sure you are looking in the kids or teenage fiction area, neither of them are adult.

I'm from NZ so we can't order things from Amazon (well I don't think we can) and we don't have the other shop...*thinks* I might get my dad to try Dymocks, they have lots of books...

Yeah, I've been looking for them both in those areas. I've only managed to find Inkspell (the one after Inkheart). No trace of Edymion Spring (sp?).

It's really annoying me now...

Aww, sorry.

How about we let you choose the next book and pray that we can find it here.

I did think that amazon.com did international shipping because you have to make sure you get the correct site for buying DVDs.

Mind you if you found a shop that sells Inkspell maybe you could ask that shop about Inkheart seeing as its the first book in a trilology, the shop itself would be a bit stupid to only stock one part, they may be able to order the book for you.
