Of course I have to say "Come on England"!! however the 1-0 victory is hardly anything to shout about as it really wasn't that convincing a victory!

Hey, it's the points that count. We have a win, and that's very good for morale. Anyway, we are NOT going to lose against Trinidad and Tobago, so that means we're through. I just hope the runner-up from group A isn't Brazil or Germany- Germany would probably be better than Brazil if it comes to that, though.

Well I never knew that! Sadly I don't think NZ made the cut for the World Cup this time round but the Ozzies are there and fighting hard I think!!

BTW - Not sure about this cheering the Argies!!! Us England fans don't think all that much of them after the Hand of God incident with Maradonna

Funnily enough, I normally get the donkey team in the sweepstakes and I can't believe this time, I'm not actually in a one!!! :eek:

I'm never very good at getting the winning team right but last World Cup I did predict a France v Brazil final and got that bit right.

I reckon it will probably be Germany and Brazil this time with perhaps the Dutch and England or France being the other Semi-finalists. I really should put a bet on!

That was so shocking.

And yeah, NZ didn't make the cut.. there aren't really many spaces open in this area, and even Australia only just qualified.. they beat out Uruguay with a penalty. Doesn't mean I'm cheering for them... :-?

Don't know who I want to win, actually... about time Spain got around to it, I think.

Took you long, didn't it? ;) T&T in the surprise of the world cup, I think. Their teams has its camp close to my hometown, and boy did they (their supporters, that is) have a party here after their draw against Sweden. But I hope it won't come to England-Germany before finals...

I dreamed Czechia would win, though. I think I'll bet some money, just in case.

Well, we will beat Portugal. But then we'll face Brazil (because they are not going to lose against France). But if we beat them, then it is likely that we will play Germany- which is better for us than Argentina.
