Hmm, there's bound to be other things out there that can though...

I still don't get it. Suppose somebody knows that there is somebody on a forum with a nickname Broccoli who likes XYZ restaurant in ABC town. If I don't share my photo, the person will never find me. If I do, what would they do when they meet me? Talk to me? That's the case where you should be careful and not trust everything you are told. If they, however, want to kill me right away, why not kill somebody else instead?

Hmm, I'm sure if somebody wanted to kill somebody enough they could manage it... sad really.

Just have to rely on good old human nature...

And that isn't altogether reassuring. :-?

Sorry, double posting...

Thanks for the new position in the great hall, Paul.

You'll need a mod in Prince-Free I noticed, and I'd be only too happy to take on that role too.

It's true, murder is far too common (not that it's that common in the first place). 1 in 25 people have no conscience. Anyway, there are many programs that can track down where your computer is located. Sometimes people read your posts, and like you, and want to murder you, after doing.... whatever else they do.

P.S. Paul, if you need a mod for Prince-Free, I'm here!

Sorry for the delay in awarding the latest round of Moderator places but big congratulations to some new Moderators tonight....

Thanks The Phoenix Reborn for becoming Moderator of the new-to-be-launched Magical Games area. As Moderators know, I've got something nice planned for there although I'm still not giving any details away just yet. :) Did you also want to be Prince-Free Moderator as well, The Phoenix Reborn? That would be a lot of places that you'd be Moderating...may be worth seeing how the the existing ones plus the Magical Games area go for now but I'll leave the decision to you. :)

Talking about the Prince-Free Room, a big round of aplause for Un'Anima Persa who has become Moderator there. Apologies that we've had a bit of spam there in the last few days - when setting up the Prince-Free Room, I had forgotten to ensure that only members (and not guests) can post there, but that's been amended now to members-only, in keeping with the rest of BaO.

Maybe we need a lion at the doors to keep the spammers out. Aha - that's exactly what we now have at the Magical Games area, because as well as The Phoenix Reborn, Scarlet Lioness has become Moderator of our newest corner of the forum. Sincere thanks, Scarlet Lioness.

A loud screech emanates from just outside the Great Hall, and through the top window by the teachers desk flies a rather dishevelled looking white eagle, accompanied by four equally scrappy looking owls.

Thank goodness - I was wondering what had been keeping them. Delivering post in Death-Eater controlled territory is a worrying thing to ask of a small group of owls, even if they have an eagle to protect them...so glad to see you all back safely.

Hoots and more screeches fill the Great Hall as the five birds do a full circle above hundreds of human heads. The eagle breaks off from the other birds and heads for the exact centre of the room before swooping straight down, then almost silently levelling off a few feet above everyone. It just takes a few seconds for her to sweep over the head of Mistress Siana, and as she does, a bright shiny object falls from her talons, before a seemingly effortless swoop upwards to join the other birds. One by one they file back out the open window and turn and head in the direction of Hagrid's cabin.

Congratulations and many thanks for becoming Slytherin Prefect a few weeks ago, Mistress Siana!

Well, I must pop over with Hagrid to check if those five have any wounds from their mission that needs tending to.

No, I think everything's perfect the way it is. Besides, UAP's handling that.

Thanks for the "Magical Games"! :-)

I can't wait to see what's in store!

Sincere thanks for volunteering SEAMUS. In time it could indeed be possible for you to become a Moderator...I'd say maybe you'd need to have a bit more experience on the forum first. A friendly hint - slightly longer posts will get you lots of approval...tell us what you're thinking and don't be afraid to expand upon your thoughts or ideas. :)
