We've dropped off the pace a little over the last few days.

But in the latest news, we've picked up 3 bronzes today, in shooting, weightlifting and bowls.

You know I'm actually quite impressed at how England has done - we always get a lot of stick for not supporting our athletes and giving them resource to train etc but I think they've done brilliantly.

Italy is my favourite and actually Spain is no problem whatsoever. When you said you thought it was dangerous I was quite stunned actually as it really isn't dangerous at all. I'd say it was more dangerous in London or Paris funnily enough but I imagine you probably got that impression after the Madrid bombing. Spain is cool, Barcelona is fantastic. Not a city you can do in less than 4 days but the underground train system is really good. You can buy tickets from a kiosk and you can pick the language at that kiosk so you don't have to worry about knowing Spanish to get about the place. We might go to Madrid later in the year possibly.

Italy is my favourite though and when you go to Italy before going to Spain you will wish you stayed in Italy. I don't know there's something very chic about the Italians and their way of life is fantastic. I personally think they have more "chicdom" than the rest of Europe including the French so if you head to Europe you should leave Italy until last - it really is the highlight.

We're now getting really excited about our trip to NZ!! Only a few weeks now!!!

If the weather perks up a little bit, it should be perfect.

Our athletes did pretty well, really...

It's been odd over the last few years, we've not had medals in the pool or on the track, so it's been nice to have both after a period of... not having them.

Well, the weather has been strange actually...cold, wet, sunny, windy all in one day. So I say bring your winter clothes and some summery ones too!!!! It's autumn, what else can I say!!!

It's all these cyclones coming from the Pacific Island heading out to Australia that's effecting it...

Hmm will we be alright?

Yeah, well... let's just say that most of us think we're invincible and untouched down here... obviously we're not and things come along eventually and shock us, but... nothing in mym own life has been very bad, on the natural disaster scale.

Mt. Ruapehu eruption, last thing I remember. About 10 years ago. Wasn't very bad. It's in the middle of nowhere...
