Anybody NOT read HBP?

Postby Mistress Siana » Monday 23 January 2006 3:10:37pm

I'm just curious if there's any active member here at BaO who has not read book 6 yet. After all, it's been out for half a year now, and I start to find it annoying that old posts in the characters or theories sections cannot be continued because of possible. To me it seems as though everyone's read HBP anyway. So, I was thinking about suggesting to merge the forums again, and wanted to know if there's anybody who hasn't read it yet and doesn't want the story spoilt.

Don't we already have this poll somewhere on the forum, I remember that everybody voted yes they had read the book....probably in the Great Hall or something.

Oh, indeed, there is one. It's called 'has everyone read the new book?' I've looked for a similar thread and was actually surprised to find none. I think I was so focused on 'HBP' or Half-Blood Prince that I just overlooked the thread. I'm sorry mods, so please delete this one or something.

Er yes, okay.. this'll be deleted so it won't metter too much, but it's interesting to see that 5 people have still voted "Yes" anyway.

It's obviously convincing.

Seems like it. I think it's near impossible to have a decent discussion about the books while trying not to mention HBP. I've discovered I couldn't even reply to 'who's your favourite character?' without mentioning book 6. Apart from that...I don't want to sound rude, but it's been six months since HBP was released, I don't think anyone who visits a Harry Potter forum now can expect not to be spoiled.

Should put a suggestion thread or something somewhere where Paul will easily find it saying we want the forums changed then....mind you he is quite busy so he may not get round to it immediately.

Hmm, apparently he's been spending most of his time over the last few weeks trying to get the new server up and everything...

Oh! A similar thread exists indeed (I started it, hehe!).
So, I'm locking this for now and will delete some day soon!
