How many times have you read the books?

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

I've read all the books more than about 8 times each...I just read the book I feel like reading, no particular order!

I think I've read PoA about 20 times it's my favourite book...

I've read them a couple of times. Started off in 2000, and have read each book an approximate four of five times. i usually read the whole series before, a new book is about to be released.

I've read them all at least 20-30 times. I started reading them when HP&tPS came out in 1997. Have been hooked since! Always re-read them all twice the week before a new one comes out, always start with HP&tPS, go out in robes/cloak at midnight when a new one comes out...you might be able to tell that I'm slightlyobsessive- & I've not even left school yet!

Surely by now you must be able to just read the books from memory without needing to get the things out anymore...

Thats quite impressive though, reading them that many times and not getting bored...

I know- my family's sick of me quoting the book anytime I can. Ohhh, & I make really, really, reaaaaalllllyyy long lists about everything that's wrong with the films. I sit & watch them, pausing it everytime I see a mistake so that I can write it down...come on, Harry doesn't even have green eyes!

lol, have you seen the normal screen dvd of Philosopher's stone...I have that, there is a spare hand on the back of Ron's shirt after he falls through the devil's snare....best mistake I've found in them movies.

I've lost count of how many times I've read the books, but I've lost my favourite one *sniff* Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

I've lost count too, certainly more than I've watched the movies. But the Books (notice I used a capital letter) have endured a lot of abuse. Getting run over by cars and bikes.... etc..... Half of my books are missing the cover, and the other half are falling off their spines.

I went through two years when they were all I read.

About 40 times over and over... then of course I get hooked on something else.

That was years ago...

I haven't read the first four in an extremely long time... I pretty much memorised them!

I haven't read 5 & 6 very much...

OoTP maybe 4 times... HBP thrice...

I know what you mean.... I'm in my Stephen King phase now.... so I don't reread the Books as often.
