Well it's very quiet around these parts. I found this website, shortly around the time that the Half Blood prince came out, I left right before school started and now I'm back, but it seems that things have died down quite a lot. Some posts within topics date back to October or even september and yet their still near the top.

Are you sure they aren't just the sticky/announcement topics...they are pinned to the top and can never drop down even if noone replies....
In the Great Hall there are quite a few of those...

Perhaps your right, but it still feels like it's quite quiet around here.

It was actually quite a big fuzz when I joined (just about when HBP came out) Things have definitlly slowed down ever since. But it's never been quiet. There were always people posting. Even if just a few.

there are also people (like me) who prefer to read and find it kind of stupid to post something that is already posted x times before or posting something like 'i agree
' or 'i agree with ...'
that's why i'm mostly active in the common room and diagon alley

Yeah, and I actually like quite forums. You pretty much know everybody, so it's not like every day you have to see people you've never "met".

I agree
I also belong to people who prefer reading to posting. I'm here almost every day, yet I don't post that often.
I think it was quite predictable that after the release of the new book the boards would be more active and then become quieter again. It's always been like that.

I really like being part of this forum - it makes me feel wanted! Everyone is really welcoming I think. And yeah, there's no point posting if there's not a new theory to discuss. I do get a bit frustrated when we go over old ground a bit of if something has been said over and over, but then its' fantastic to see the new theories people come up with you never even thought about

Yeah, like how everyone talks about the wholke "[spoiler removed]" and even though I believe this theory, everyone talks about it.

Hehehe, I never actually read any of the theories, books or movie threads usually...just stick to my common room and the great hall mostly unless something really catches my eye as I search for new posts since last visit instead of visiting each forum to see if there are new posts.

That is true for me too. I visit the Theories section from time to time, but I am a rare guest at the Movie section or Zonko's.

Er... sorry for the spoiler above. I have a little trouble noticing things like that. I'll be more careful next time.
