Wellington doesn't even have an Ice-skating rink yet. They've made the plans for it I believe and are in the process now.
I've skated on the Christchurch one and Auckland ones twice.

Oh awesome!!! I've skated on the Dunedin one...showed my sister up i did!!! Haha, my sister used to do ice skating when she was younger and she has medals for it, but I was skating around like I actually knew what to do, and I didn't!!!

Once you find your feet and your balance it's pretty easy really. And fun after a while as well.
I think it's easier to start as a child though, you don't care about falling over as much. I think an adult starter wouldn't enjoy it as much.

That sounds awesome!!! All I did at the fireworks was talked untill 9:30 then watched the fireworks, got lost trying to find my cousin and then got picked up at 11...and the fireworks finished at 9:37...

To be honest I don't know, its so open its basically impossible to get lost there. I didn't get round to watching the fireworks though, I was up in Palmerston North again. All the hot army guys came around and did the gardening!!!!!!!!!!! And some of them even had their shirts off!!! But there were a few fireworks going on at the Linton Army camp. Me and my brother made sparkler bombs and some people let off some thunderflashes, which just happen to be illegal. Some example for the young generation of New Zealanders, huh?

Well everythign top do with fireworks is just going to be going from illegal to even more illegal, I wouldn't surprised if they were outlawed altogether in a few years. With the SPCA up in arms and everything...

I got lost coz there were too many people and I couldnt find my cousin, she told me to meet at a tent near the stage there were about 7 by the stage... :grin:

Not too badly, it was a day off shcool so I enjoyed it as much as possible.
