Dumbledore's death, a ruse? *theory discussion*

Who do you like best and who could you definately live without? Will there be romance in the air for any of them and who will end up with who?

I dont know if this has been posted anywhere or not yet but there are a lot of interesting theories at Dumbledoreisnotdead dot com. They discuss all the clues the JK left in the book and stuff, its pretty neat.

If you go back and read... Harry found his broken dead body. That's kind of hard to fake

Depends if the dead DD with the broken body was actually someone else who had, had Polyjuice Potion... That was my initial thought when I read the book but the fact that the portrait was in the study kind of puts an end to that but DD is/was rather talented shall we say and could have faked that as well..

i don't think the person whose body was there was sombody else than dd. i mean think about the way he acted before he died. it ws dd all over. the spells over the castle that he could only undo, the way he spoke to draco, and think...only dd would actually go for the horcrux and actually drink the potion. when could sombody actually change places with him? and more important why?

To be honest, I think DD is truly dead but it's quite fun sometimes to put thoughts out there I think.

Yeah the portrait will definitely come into play at some point in the final book. If HP doesn't use that early I think he's a simpleton!

Heh, for some reason I didn't read it that way. Now that you say it, I do see it that way. I wonder why I didn't see it

idk i think to think dumbledores death a ruse is just grasping at straws and people refusing to belive that their beloved character is dead.. i mean i can understand though, but i think we just have to admit hes dead.

Dumbledore could actually have turned into a vampire .So he would already be dead and that would mean draco can't kill him , which would mean he(draco) would fail in his task .
this would mean that voldemort would kill draco. then snape would also die because of his unbreakable vow .
so to prevent snape's and draco's death dumbledore would have transferred the burden of the unbreakable vow onto his right hand , which could explain why it was black and dead. Then ,snape wouldn't die. And since DD might have turned into a vampire , his picture would have appeared on the wall , and the killing curse also wouldn't have worked on DD.
Whew .............a far-fetched theory , but feels a lot better to have gotten it off my chest.
