horcruxes

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

For clarity:

hero: a person noted or admired for nobility, courage, outstanding achievements, a demigod, a man of superhuman qualities

heroin: a highly addictive white crystalline analgesic drug

heroine: a woman noted or admired for nobility, courage, outstanding achievements, a demigoddess, a woman of superhuman qualities

And no I didn't mean he was a drug either!! Please excuse my typo but I'm not the only one to either talk in text language, have typos etc...

Making a phoenix a horcrux is probably the best idea ever.

I doubt he would be able to get close enough to Fawkes after a kill to make it happen though. In the ministry Fawkes was the only death, so that wouldn't have worked. (Unless of course he had just come back from killing someone, hmmm?)

The thing I don't get is why a wand with Fawkes feather ever chose Tom Riddle?

Fate is at work here. Fawkes and DD must be at the heart of some prophesy of their own, and having Harry and LV share wand-cores must be part of it.

dont phoenixes die though? i thought the whole thing about phoenixes are that they die in flames and rise again from the ash. so making fawkes a horcrux would actually be a bad idea because there is no way you could stop him/her from dying every now and then.
i agree though that the fawkes/dd same wand core with harry and lv is very suspicious. we've known all that information for waaay to long for it not to come into play somehow in the end. i don't think it was done in GoF with the priori incantatem as it seems like all wizards have the possibility of doing that.

I just want to know why those wands chose LV and HP!! What is this mysterious connection all about. I hope it's something strong and doesn't disappoint me!

I see it much more simply, that Voldemort himself is the reason for the similarity in wands i.e:

Tom Riddle is chosen by a wand that, much like himself, is very strong and has a certain quality of immortality

Voldemort choses Harry and marks him as his equal.

Due to Voldemort choosing to fulfil the prophecy and marking Harry as his equal, Harry is therefore selected by a similar wand.

Yeah but at that stage LV was not immortal nor did he have an immortality design on life. He was just 11 years old.

I wonder if phoenix's can foresee the future in the same way that a seer could?
