....i mean hand writing is like a signiture of personality... and he didn't even bother to think of snape. maybe he just wanted so hard to be his father...and maybe that's why he trusted it so much and ended up in using sectumsempra.
I can think of two reasons why he wouldn't think it was Snape.
1. The handwriting was similar but not exactly the same because handwriting can tend to change slightly over the years. This is especially true of someone that's a teacher (board writing isn't always the same as paper writing, and just having to write so much can change it so it can be done more quickly while still being legible). Also, Snape would have been writing all tiny in the book to fit everything in while he'd be writing big enough on the board for the class (at least the Slytherins) to read.
2. He wouldn't want it to be Snape. He hates Snape more than anyone, but he really liked the Prince. I mean who couldn't like someone that taught you all those potions tricks and really neat spells like Levicorpus, Muffliato, and the tongue one. Sure Sectumsempra was bad, but he already had the high opinion of the Prince at the time. He just didn't want to think that there might actually be something he liked about Snape. He said it himself while walking up to the castle with Snape on the first night, he wanted any reason to hate Snape (to better blame him for Sirius' death).
