Last thing I heard was a news report on 23 September where JK Rowling mentioned she was busy writing book 5 in "a rather chilly Edinburgh". I'm Not sure how far through she is at this point or whether she has completed it entirely yet.

Thanks for the info about the book 5 release date - from what I hear there will be romance in the air although I'm not sure who for or whether the romance will actually be out in the open.

Here are a few of them..

1. Hermione and Ron will start dating in the 5th book and get married at the end of the 7th book.
2. 5th Book - One of the Harry fans (or lovers whatever) will die.
3. Voldemord has a daughter who will come to Hogwards and make Harry fall in love with herself.
4. Some say that the last book will have a "dark ending"
5. Peeves is actually working for the dark lord

Some intriguing stuff there. From what JK Rowling has directly said there will be at least one significant death to come. She has already written the last chapter of book 7 - personally I hope it doesn't have a dark ending as I'd like things to end up well for everyone, and I've got my own hopes regarding how things may somehow come to a close. Peeves working for You-Know-Who ...hmmm - quite possibly.

I'm guessing that if there is a graduated international roll-out of book 5, it will probably be in the UK first. I'm planning to feature international sources where you'll be able to get book 5 as early as possible once it's released :smile:
