How did you feel about the 5th book overall?

yeah she was terrible and you hated her, but i wouldn't take her out of the books, cos i thought she was one of the best things about OotP. she was a great villain, great to read, and soooo funny, paticularly with mcgonagall. annoying, but i thought she really made the book and you just loved it when she got her ass kicked by the centaurs, heehee finally someone she couldn't insult without retaliation... heeehee

PoA remains my favorite, but Book 5 was very good also. I appreciated the character developement and the more human impressions of James and Sirius.

Yeah, we did get a better inside into their lives I suppose. I found it quite interesting too. Especially the chapter "Snape's Worst Memory"

It's amazing how many times you ca nread a book, and still pick stuff up you didn't notice before. Obviously, this would seem sometimes as though you're not reaally reading it very well and thoroughly, but sometimes, I dunno, I read a book 5 times, then I read it aga8in, and notice yet another thing I missed before!

There is a whole lot to absorb. I think that finding new things within the text is one of the attributes of the Harry Potter series. Every time you read the books, you can get more from them.

Though with movie it's only usually small details. If you don't read things properly in books, you can often miss events. Sometimes it's just because you weren't concentrating. You can look a the words, but not take them in. Like seeing wthout looking.

When you read you don't actually look at every letter, even if some letters in words are all jumbled you can still make sense of what it actually says!!!

you skipped paragraphs?!? i like to savour every word of any book i read, if you wanted to get to the point quickly, you might as well just read the last page . the only times i felt like doing that with the HP books is in the hagrid storylines that go on forever.

but my brother's friend would actually get a book, turn to and read the last page, and then would read the book(or not read the book, cos hey, he's already got the gist of it!)! how crazy is that? brings new meaning to the thing about men always reading magazines and newspapers from the back.
