I've got my 12:01am ticket, and I'm very excited. I just bought the animated Clone Wars volume one DVD today and will have to watch it later tonight. Not long to go now!

So here's the thread to post your thoughts, experiences and comments on the final Star Wars film.


Oh, and there is talk of a Star Wars TV series set between episodes III and IV.

I went to a midnight session. Excellent movie! I plan to see it 2 more times. (maybe once with my parents). It always feels too fast when I watch a SW movie for the first time.

I saw the movie yesterday, it was fantastic. The script was done so much better and the music finally fitted the scene. I've gotta say it was breathtaking watching the fall of the Jedi.
Amazing how they fitted everything in that you've always wanted to know (mostly.)

R2D2 totally rocks! Hehe.

I'm still shivering because of the scenes in which Anakin killed the younglings and when he was burnt by the lava. I liked that he cried in the end...who would have thought that Vader became Vader with tears? Actually, I watched episodes IV-VI again after I saw Revenge of the Sith, and it was amazing how it changed the way you see the original trilogy. The similarities between Luke and Anakin, Padmé's last words which Luke also says at one point...and when Vader told his son that is was too late for him to change, I could just see Anakin behind that mask. Wow.

Has anybody read the book? Not the teenager version. Many people don't seem to like it, but I thought it was great.

Have'nt read the novelization, but someday I intend to. I was amazed at how violent and dark the movie was.

R2D2 is indeed awesome.

I was glad that Jar-Jar Binks didn't get a speaking part. Whoever played Palpatine did an awesome job. Hayden Christenson's acting has improved too.

I thought that Anakin's transition to the dark side happened a little quick. One moment he's all "what have I done??", the next moment he's "I'll do whatever you want." When he killed the younglings, I felt that it was a little too early, and he hadn't sunk to that level yet. When we first saw the younglings in episode II, I figured Anakin would kill them in an indirect way, like perhaps blowing up the temple.

I too liked the way that Anakin/Vader cried. It was touching after all that violence to see a tear in his yellow Sith eyes.

Everyone seemed to hate the similarities between Darth Vader and Frankenstien, but I kinda liked it. Frankenstien was after all, the first science fiction story. And it made sense that Darth Vader would have to adjust to his new legs.

I was still under the impression that Obi-Wan only cut off Anakin's legs, but people seem to keep saying that he lost his organic hand as well. Is this true?

I haven't seen the novels anywhere. and Ian McDiarmid (who played Palpatine) did indeed do a sterling job.
I did see him losing his other hand either. Anyone who did?

Anakin lost his hand in Episode 2 in the duel with Count Dooku. During the secret mariage of Padmé and Anakin at the very end of number two, you see Padmé holding Anakin's mechanical hand and in Episode 3 you see his mechanical arm as he gets out of bed in Padme's appartment. And lastly I think he also uses the arm to climb away from the lava just after losing his legs (and only his legs) to Obi-wan.

Yeah but he still had one organic hand. I clearly saw Obi-Wan lop off both of Anakin's legs, but I've heard people say that he lost two legs and a hand. He was climbing away from the lava with his mechanical hand, so that must mean that Obi-Wan sliced off his organic hand. I was wondering if this was true or not, because I sure didn't notice it.

He was pretty badly burned, so it would be logical that he couldn't use his organic hand and had to use his mechanical arm. I'm pretty convinced that he still has one normal organic hand. I seem to remember when they were fixing him up and he was thrashing around wit what seemed to me to be a badly burnt arm and then when they put his suit on I thought "that probably itches someting terrible. Cloths on burnt flesh. Any way I think he still has one organic arm but maybe I'm mistaken.

i was tottally bummed that anakin went bad before padme died. i mean, i knew he went bad, but i was hoping padme wouldn't have to see it. (by the way, i'm a die hard harry potter and star wars fan.) and i almost cried when he nearly killed padme. and he killed little kids! how dare he!. . .and all before padme died. altogether, this movie dissapointed me. the lines were corny and the acting was bad. i can't believe that i am a saying that, i love star wars!
