Fireyemblem, I don't know why you think people dislike you but, as the others, I'd like to know why do you think that.
It also depends what people dislike you. if some complexed people eho don't have smarter things to do than bully or critisize than I would just advise you not to care about that at all. But if, so called, normal people, your frinds, dislike you than I really need your view of the reason

it would be nice if you elaborate a bit, but, if i understand what you mean, i have the same probelm. girls at the ballet studio hate me ....because i got into college at 13...and so they, according to the one or 2 that dont hate me...are jealous or something...they find any little thing and say that i'm ungrateful
if someone dhates you, then, dont worry about htem..just, ignrore themiitis isn't worth your time

You were in College at 13!?! Wow!!! I'm 23 and I just figured out a career choice, and thats after being in college for four years

As far as people not liking you is concerned,,, bring books with you everywhere, or draw. The more you read and learn, the less of a factor they become; though try not to give them ammunition

yeah, they aren't worth your time if they dont like you. i dont know you to well, but still, thats the advice i've been taking with the girls at my ballet studio.
and, i still am 13! i just got into college a year ago. we had to pass all these exams, maturity tests, SATs, how we fit in, it was hard but, i made it =). the youngest one in our group (who happens to be the youngest person to ever attend college in the history of the united states) is allison and she just turned ten.

What DOES a prodigy do after college anyway? I mean, with your potential to learn, just going to work would be a collosial waste. I'd love to see how far I could go learning, it I was in your position

yeah, after i graduate (which will be in four or five years, it sometimes takes a bit longer for us) i will go on to get a masters degree...then a PHD and then probably research some stuff. I'm definately not stopping my education right after college. that WOULD be a total waste of going!
Most of the EEP students (Early Entrance Program is the program we're in, and we call it EEP) go to really top grade universities and get the highest possible educations they can. and by most, i mean, everyone except for maybe one or two.

How many from your program go back to high school or whatever in the hopes of having a more "normal childhood"

well. only about two or three have dropped out over the whole history of the program...and thats usually in the first month or so after being accepted. Not many drop out though, because the testing is really tuff if you want to get into this program, and they usually find students who are capable of coming young.
and also, with the "lost childhood" thing. its not a lost childhood. we have our own rooms in the college. the rooms contain fully equipped kitchens, sofa, game room, computer room, arcade room, study room, library, TV, and everything else like that. we dont lose our childhood. we just, have a unique childhood. we have the same fun, we just...different kind of fun. normal students go to proms and to the mall, we spend all day lounging around at schoo..or going to the mall there to. its not really a lost childhood though. we are weith people our own age...
its basically been found out by the program that unless you are a student in this program, or a parent of one, people would think that its a lost childhood, but i am much happier (and so are the other students) here, than we every were in normal schoo.

Thank you!! I decided to go to very advanced schools (although i thought middle schools and highschools) when i was in elementary school, because when i was in 4th grade learning .... i dont know what...i was able to do Algebra and Trigonometry. So, i decided to go to advanced schools. And at first i went to this highly gifted middle school, and after 7th grade...i decided to go to this college. The principle of the highschool all my friends went to had a meeting with us and she said that i would have to be put in 10th or 11th grade to suit my academic abilities...but, i didn't want that. So, she recommended the program, and i tried out...and got in. We have to take LOADS of tests to get in though, aside from the SATs and ELM and EPTs, we have to write all sorts of essays for the program, pass maturity tests, get at least a 3.5 GPA, etc. But, the university does require for us younger students to take some extra courses such as english composition, american history, but, we would have taken hem anyway, so that was fine.
