yeah, that sounds about right with building up a strong love relationship...but with whom? He can't with his parents...well, not build up at least..and voldemort is over that already. but...he can't have someone die for him again? well...he can maybe...

i can see him having a shield of love. i would also think that someone like DD will die, and that will test his love greatly. it will be so tempting to go beserk, but that would be what voldie wants, so he needs to resist. but, i reckon that will be near the end, perhaps during book 7. it will signify an end to all hope, before harry achieves his destiny.

BoT, i think it was a spell. slytherin was not a defender, and magic doesnt always need incantations. look at the rest of that duel. there isnt a single one. its being creative. voldie made a wall out of pure magic, and then dispelled it when he didnt need it. its more effective to do that, and quicker.

yeah, i really do see DD as dying for harry, that would make a really good (well, not exactly good, as in happy, but well - wrapped up and thought out) ending...
