Well, first of all - this thread needs to be moved to "Books", because this is not a rumour

And then - I absolutely loooove the adult book cover...than again i always thought they were awsome.

American Book Cover - eh...its pretty good, I mean I never particularly liked the art style of....forgot who the artists is ^^;

English Edition - Very cool idea, but don't like how Harry looks <_<'

I'm not fond of the english version. Dumbledore looks strange and why the hell are their wands bent. You'd assume a quality wand maker like Olivander can make his wands look quite nice with smooth finishes and loads of carving

The american cover is nice

I'm not sure i get the adult cover, considering it gives absolutely nothing away except that harry needs to shop at a better book store

Sheesh, wizards are allowed to have nice shiny things too, instead of all this tattered mideavel looking crud

i think the english one looks more dramatic, which is cool. the american one just a bit strange. the look on DD's face makes him look more realistic i think. but anyway, since im english, im kinda biased.

i kno harry looks kinda strange, but the books are changing, and they arent kids books anymore. you cant hav a nice, cuddly, child cover now. plus, that wouldnt sell.

sorry mint, i didnt kno. i thought this was a rumour. u learn sumfin every day!

They can make a darker cover without making DD look so ugly

I always wanted them to draw DD like he looked in the first two movies

Oh yah, what's with the pointy hats they make these kids wear

I like the American cover more than the British, though the adult version looks very well. Is that a potions book? How old, I wonder whether it's Harry's (but why would he have such a old book, he's always buying new ones) or someone else's (Snape's?).

well don't really like the american version, lookes a bit neugh or something (aware that 'neugh' is not a word but say it it's fun!) i prefer the more dramatic style of the english version but i hate the stupid block colour bit at the top it always annoys me and ruins the look. also fire is becoming a recurrent theme for the cover of the books(GoF and OotP). the adult version i like the best cos i think it looks the most artistic.

but more importantly, i think that it definitly indicates that there's going to be a big harry/dumbledore alliance in this one (sort of stating the obvious i know, it it seems like it'll be the main theme, story etc rather than an implicit understanding between them). also after the distance and non-communication that was between harry and dumbly in OotP which only led to disaster (sob, sob), we're going old school again. back to them actually communicating and trusting each other. it looks like they're going to really fight together against the rising threat of Voldemort and harry looks so much older (on the english version) whereas before to me he looked like her was permanently 13 years old even on GoF.

Also it looks like we're gonna see ass-kickin' dumly again, like the glimpse of that cold, hard anger, aura of power thing he had when he blew the door off the hinges at the end of GoF to get crouch. on the english cover he looks like he's all riled up and it looks likel we're going to have proper battles again. and looks like harry will reassert control after his pathetic whining and gullibilility stage of OotP, when he was totally not himself and lost any respect i had for him, I think he'll have to earn the respect and trust of everyone he annoyed, offended and let down in OotP. maybe i shouldn't be so harsh we all have a period of stupidity and pig-headedness around that time in our lives, but it sort of ruined OotP for me.

oh yeah and potions should be important (if you join the dots between the various covers) for it to just have a book of potions on the front is significant and in the american version harry and dumbly look like they are concocting some sort of potion. also mc gonagall said harry would have to do potions at whatever their wizard A-levels are called again to become an auror so perhaps harry will start to excel in potions despite snape? also is the half-blood prince something to come from a magical potion like the resurrection of voldemort from the potion? i think we now have to stop asking who the HBP is and think about what it could be or think more from the angle of potions. or am i way off base, what do others think?

I don't get it, everytime I click the links all I get is a little red x but everyone else seems to be having no trouble viewing them at all...does anyone know of any other website that I could see them on?

I accidently deleted the email I got about them..turned up in my spam box and I clicked empty before reading the titles :(

Being real judgemental of Harry ain't ya. Yeah, I can see why he should still be cheery and okay, I mean it's not like he's seen two people die because of him, or have people keep things from him that involve him directly, or been hunted by dark wizards who want to see him dead for varying degrees of stupid reasons. I mean it's not like he's suffered more than any of the rest of us have...oh wait; yes he has. We've been reading about his stories, sitting in our comfortable homes with people who actually give a damn about us and get to take his stories as fiction. He has to actually experience these things. He may be fiction, but he is still based on real human emotions, and real humans get just as upset and angry when stuff like this happens. So before we go and say he annoyed us, try to actually think about the things he's been through and tell me if you would still be such a likable person after having all this happen TO YOU.

I really don't like people critisizing Harry from OotP, because I can sympathise with him when I look at how almost all the adults were treating him, despite the things he's experienced. He left a normal childhood behind a long time ago

I don't like the colour scheme for the British/Canadian one. Picture's pretty good, though I really don't like the bent wands. A question though, the picture on the front of the books always has relevance to the books. So what do you think the picture is all about?
And I can relate perfectly to Harry in OoTP. In fact, his personality in that is my favourite out of all.
