emma and daniel??

Postby Violet » Friday 28 November 2003 3:24:02am

I only just read this, but the article was posted back in the summer... a german magazine has claimed that daniel radcliffe and emma watson have fallen in love!!
Here's the full story...

It seems like the kind of hysteria that people like to surround such a movie with, but all the same could be quite sweet if they were an item.

It seems really unlikely, but I suppose it's always possible.

Possible, but I voted for Rumor... I mean, everyone can fall in love with someone they work with, but when I read stuff like this, I feel like they're written just to be sold... (something like the Daily Prophet, you know?)

Maybe it's just me, but I have trouble associating love with teenagers (keep in mind, I'm 17 myself, so I'm not a preaching adult ;)). I tend to think of love as a deeper emotion that requires maturity that most teenagers (at least the ones I know) lack.

That said, I do think it's just a rumor . . . though I did read in an Entertainment Weekly interview with Chris Columbus (or whoever the director was) that 'If you ask the kids about relationships, they'll giggle and blush', but that's normal. Anyway, if they want to go out, I figure that's none of my business . . . and I'm a bit more worried about college at this point. Stupid college :-(

Also, I think this belongs more in the movies section, so I'm going to nudge it on over there

I don't usually believe things like that in magazines, they're usually planted to generate more interest about the films. Love is just too strong a word for 13-15 year olds.

Emma said it very recently (many times before that in fact) that she like Dan and Rupert as friends and ONLY friends. SHe has been working with them for so long that they are like her best friends (i belive she even said "girlfriends" jokingly). And that she would hate if JKR would make Hermoine kiss anyof them.

Im baaaaack! Did u miss me?!! *silence....*

Here, to kill of this thread completely I went to Leaky Cauldron and digged out part of her recent interview!!!

Enjoy!!!!!!! :evil grin:

ONE: Can you tell us your relations with Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. Who are they really for you?

EW:More than friends, they've become like brothers. Or sisters, I don't know... [laughing] In fact, I don't see them like normal boys. I mean that I cannot imagine me going out with one of them. For me, they are like my best friends. I can laugh and talk about everything with them without any taboo. I really like them a lot.

ONE: How would you react if Hermione suddenly fell in love with Ron or Harry? You would be obliged to kiss Daniel or Rupert at the screen...

EW: I really hope, sincerely, that J.K.Rowling won't do a thing like this to me! [laughing] Even if movies kisses have nothing in common with real kisses, I would be terribly embarrassed all the same... Nevertheless, sincerely, I would be very surprise if something like this happened. I cannot see Hermione going out with one or the other. In any case, for me, this is not in my contract... So, if I have to kiss one of them, I'll resign! [laughing]

ONE: If Hermione doesn't fall in love with Ron or Harry, with whom do you see her?

EW: In my opinion, I really hope she won't going out with anybody, 'cause I don't want it to happen! Nevertheless, if she had to have a crush on a guy, I think he would have to be very serious, very academic. Why not a Hogwart’s teacher?! I think this would be perfectly appropriate to her. But she would be, without doubt, very embarrassed with the age difference..."

I'm from Germany and I've read that too. Which magazin was it. I've read it in the "BRAVO". I think it is true.

I very much doubt it. If I recall correctly, when the trio was on Oprah they said that the don't even hang out much outside of work.

Magazines have one purpose: money. If a fabricated story will sell copies, I hardly see that as an obsticle in most cases.

i'd imagine that emma and daniel could be in a relationship in some point in time...but, i'd think of them more as good friends than as gf and bf...
