i dont kno. i dont want him too, but it would be a dramatic ending, and if it was good enough, i would be satsified.

I reckon DD is going to die.

( The only reason is becuase of the cover of the book, it just normally the book cover has something to to with the story and DD is in a ring of fire with Harry. Just like OotF, and GOF where the dragon was chasing Harry with the egg, and that was a major part of the story as it was the Triwizards tournment )

i like the theory, memphis, but i think it isnt DD's time yet. he will die at the end of the series. brings a climax, because its harrys mentor dying, and that makes all hope appear to disappear.

i dont think hagrid will die. i mean, what reasons are there for him to die? apparently, there is a reason for sirius to die. so, thats sad, because he is definitely dead, but thats not so sad, because it had to happen.

harry might die to kill voldie, and thats the only way he can die. personally, i think its kinda likely myself, but im not sure.

When all hope is lost, that's when the godess of victory shines upon a warrior. That's the best way to write a story. Just when you think all is lost, then to snatch victory from death's door is completely elating. It's like lying on the battle field, bloody and beaten, but still there and watching the clouds part of watch the sun shine through when you thought nothing would ever be bright again. Things like that give a sense of finality

I totally agree. DD is a huge character in the stories and if they take him out of the picture so soon, you have very little for harry to do because like Hagger said "it makes all hope disappear."

I think its the same way with hagrid. He's been such a huge figure during the books that if he is going to die, then it would have to be very very near the end because he seems to always have a long conversation with the trio in every book.

Well, that's why It's gotta happen at the end of book six, since 7 is the continuation of 6 and hope has to be snuffed out before Harry's gang is simply force to face him. they'll go into hiding, runnin away from the death eaters who are slowly taking over. then one day, voldermort grab's Harry and sends his servants away so he can torture him to death. That's when the final battle begins

Harry's gang is simply force to face him. they'll go into hiding, runnin away from the death eaters who are slowly taking over

maybe somewhere in that, Voldemort will kill Dumbledore (Seeing that Dumbledore isn't the one who can kill Voldemort) and Harry might get mad again like he did when Sirius was killed and go after Voldemort. Something to that effect.
