Hey, if any damage is done, St. Mungo's is just around the corner (Did you know I co-invented St. Mungo's? And yes, I know I'm shameless  )

who are you calling a newbie

Well,

Relax guys and gals. No one ever said a theory couldn't be wacky. (I did say an amusing possiblity). I'm in the process of moving house. Once I 've done that I'll get the latest books and brush up my theory. See if I can't squeeze it into JKR's plots.

I'm sure there's a way of making it work. After all we're talking about books riddled with magic.

Anyway nice to see someone's reacting.

Gre!!!!!!

Welcome back! The wackier the theory, the better in my opinion. Here at BoA we love our newbies. Love them to death ...(sometimes quite literally. Bwahahaha!)

I'm glad you understood that we're just being friendly, in our own srange and scary way.

As for the theory, I can see how such a thing may be concivable if one had no, or little knowlege of the story beyond Chamber of Secrets. However, if the two "confrontations" only took place inside Harry's psyce, then what happened to Proffersor Quirrel? If Harry was really just facing a darker part of himself in the first book, then the "real" Proffesor Quirrel was not even present during the fight, should be still teaching at Hogwarts.

Well...quite actually, they could be one and the same person-in different timelines. They are so similar it's almost scary. Tom Riddle even said they look the same. I have no specific idea how that could work, but most objects JKR introduces appear twice, with a greater importance at the second time. The time turner so far has appeared only once.

well i wasn't on the forum whilst people were waiting for PoA, (that seems so long ago  ) or perhaps there wasn't a forum then, i don't know but i imagine that if there was there probably would have been debate over that, i mean it would have been considered as a possibilty, bit unlikely, but not impossible in the way that the last 2 books have shown them to be.

i love sarcasm and i think it works paticularly well in writing, people sometimes don't understand when you are using a SARCASTIC tone of voice and they just think you're being stupid, and then you're like 'no, you're the one who's stupid cos you don't understand SARCASM!!!'. just a general comment on sarcasm.

 keep posting gre!!!!

Time-Turned is mentioned twice....in PoA (obviously) and in the time room in the dept. of mysteries...but even if Voldemort was Harry in a different time line, Voldemort would remember BEING Harry and so wouldn't try to kill himself (unless he really wanted to die, and the only one who can do that is Harry, yay prophecy, thus the reason he made himself a new body! Hurray for incredibly unlikely theories!)
