Disturbing Question

Postby DragonFiend17 » Sunday 13 February 2005 2:10:15am

In the fifth book, we all know the room with the Time-Turners right?? well when Sirius died, why didn't Harry--even Dumbledore--think of using one of them to save Sirius--to go back so that Harry and friends never went to the Ministry???

that is rather disturbing... but it would have also been a plot killer, everyone wouldve hated it, and the books wouoldnt be as interesting...

also...she is constantly lashing out at the best of friends--for instance
Sirius
Lupin
James
Peter
Harry
Ron
Hermione

so far she has killed Sirius and James, and since Peter was the traitor he is excluded from the group.
hermione suffered broken ribs and ron was strangled
harry had undergone the worst but that is expected....
i still cant believe it!!!!!

I believe that there are some rules for using the time turner, e.g. don't bring back the dead, don't change the future, don't let yourself be seen... To go back and change everything would probably create a lot of chaos.

How far can they go back in time at all? Maybe not more than a few hours. When Sirius was rescued, Hermione conveniently had her time turner ready, maybe it would have been too late after the inccident in the MoM.

Just like Veritaserum, time turners in general could be used for more useful things than allowing over-ambitious children to take more courses than possible. I hope the exact conditions will be explained, until now, they seem a little bit like plot holes to me.

I think the dapt. of mysteries works very hard to keep people from gettign access to this stuff for what they would consider frivolous reasons. thik about the work McGonnagal put in to get Hermione one. You may think that this is more important, but it's prolly going against the rules of the time turner to use it to bring people back or change events. lord know what happened to that Death Eater who got trapped in the jar of time

well... nonetheless, harry wouldve used a time turner if he had one... even if it was against the rules... i mean, who wouldn't save sirius???

the death eater who got the baby head.

its interesting... but i reckon harry couldnt have used the time turners even if he had thought of them. the DoM would have about fifty different blocking spells, since they are such dangerous artifacts.

This is really starting to bother me now...Anyway if Harry had thought of it since when did he think before doing something he was all for? never. he always went in headstrong--even if he does have that saving-people-thing hermione told him he had...meh. <_<
