Mystery solved...at least for now with an almost perfect solution to Spinners End.

 May be... Who knows. It could be an Order of Phoenix hideout or it may just be that some witch or wizard lives there and Harry is transfered there for safety... may be...Dumbledore lives there o_o

It definitely can't be a person because it wasn't "Spinner's End" it was "Spinners End" o.o

I checked and its definitely "Spinners End" .

Also, I was wondering why Broccoli was saying that it may be a lion and turns out it was a released piece from next book that I missed...

"He looked rather like an old lion. There were streaks of grey in his mane of tawny hair and his bushy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy, loping grace even though he walked with a slight limp."

:o ....may be you are right? May be Felix IS a lion looking person.....

New minister? New DA teacher? which one will it be?

The lion decription sounds like Dumbledore. A younger dumbledore albeitly but if you think about it

1. the tawny- this is a kinda of red/gold colour- we know that Dumbledore had Aubern hair when he was younger (CoS Riddle's diary)

2. Wire rimmed glasses- though not moon shaped (like i think the current dumbledores are) they're still glasses

3. Slight limp- We know dumbledore has a scar #(shaped like a map of the london underground) how did he get this- presumably something relatively seriousotherwise there wouldn't be a scar- wizards i believe are much more advanced than to leave scars for relatively simple cuts. Hence i believe it was a relatively serious injury probably not healable by magic, which would have left him with a limp for some time.

Maybe we're going to get told about how dumbledore got his scar
Thaat piece may be froma memory in a pensieve

wow, I don't recall reading about Dembledore's scar

How is it shaped like London underground? Maybe he was into scarification when he was younger or something.... it would be a pretty big coincidence for a normal wound be shaped like that... unless the scar couldn't be removed, but could be reshaped?

Guess it's time to get out the books again lol

This Felix Felicis chapter goes well with my theory that Crookshanks is Animagus. Crookshanks is described as a small lion, or small tiger. But, ch 14 is late in the book for introducing the DADA teacher. I'm guessing, but doesn't class usually begin in the books around ch. 7 or so? Just a guess, I'll take a look later.

Maybe they couldn't find a DADA teacher, so they didn't have one, and then they finally found one later in the book.

That could be a reason why the DA could start there meetings again.

Well, I´ll and my grain of sand by saying that (as far as I know) "Felix Felicis"
in latin means "happy cat". What one can get out of that... I´ve no idea

Actually as far as I remember (lol and I remember very little) DA teachers in last 2 books were introduced pretty late due to the fact that first chapters were about Harry's adventures outside of Hogwarts.

Dumbledore - wow, I never thought of it!!! You may be right o.o this would tie in with a theory of DD being the half blood prince <.<! May be Felix is half blood prince o.o!

Crookshanks was my first thought but you know, I dont think he has "streaks of grey" though. :o I think Crookshanks looks really young. ^-^ and the way he was running around chasing Peter - I doubt he limps.

Please, this is killing me. Where did the information about Dumbledore's scar come from? I've never heard that before and don't remember reading it. (which isn't saying anything at all.)

Felix Felicis sounds like a person, not a spell. Does anyone know the official genus/species/classification name of a lion? The Crookshanks/animagus thing doesn't quite work because JKR has already said Crookshanks is a "kneazle" whatever that is. (I don't have the fantastic Creatures book but that's on her official site.)

Spinners End definitely sounds like a place. The new hideout theory sounds like it could definitely work there.

Maybe the lion person is the new character McGlaggan...
Felix Felicis, in Netherland Fawkes is also Felix... :D In latin Felix means Happyness, I thought, and Felicis also is something in that direction.

i think that the felix felicis is probably a spell and if the creator or the cheering charm was called felix i think that is most likely what it is. maybe it's something to do with the weasley's joke shop some sort of happy charm. as for the draco's detour well that's anybody's guess as to what malfoy gets into but i'm guessing it's not good.

i think the lion guy is the new DADA teacher cos...i do and i'm too tired to think properly.

The bit about Dumbledors scar is in PS i think in the first/second chapter when Harry is dropped off at the dursleys. Mcgonagal comments on the scar and asks if it can be removed. dumbledore tells her no, but he wouldn't cos they can be useful- then mentions his own scar. It might only be in the english version tho.
