Should we have an A team, B team, C team etc. for each house to ensure new members aren't excluded?

Now that the teams are becoming filled...

Postby Paul » Saturday 8 February 2003 2:09:09am

Now that the Quidditch teams are becoming filled it seems a bit unfortunate that new members may not be able to get a place. I'm thinking that maybe we could have something like an A team, a B team, a C team etc for each house as the forum grows. What do you think, or have you any different ideas about how we can ensure new members don't get excluded?

What about having alternates? I remember reading in one of the books that Draco Malfoy was the alternate Seeker for the Slytherin team . . .

Or we could have a boys' team and a girls' team if nobody minds not being true to the book.

i think a Junior Varisty team would be good (same thing as A,B, and C teams). because in the last month, we've had about a member join every two days, if not more.

yes yes yes!!! those are great ideas! i know... we can change the exhibition teams from Color names to Country names and that can be our international teams. and JV teams is a good idea too! they can have their own matches and their own cup. and then maybe the winning JV team can play the winning reg. house team!

What I don't like is a boys' and a girls' team! Noooo  I have always hated this division... As for A, B, C teams - I think it's a good idea but we still should limit the number of teams say to 2 per house now and to more later when we have more members ...

How about Paul writes an online quidditch game so we can actually play instead of worrying about teams? :D

I don't like the boy girl thing that much, but I like the International teams. Perhaps we can have seperate teams for this?

I like the sound of international teams too. Antarctic penguins flying on broomsticks - now that does conjure up an interesting picture!

There will be a way of playing. I'm hoping to get it fully organised around July. I know it's a while away but there's a lot to do if I'm going to get things working in the way I hope, so I'm going to need to spend some very concentrated time on this.

Sounds good!

Should we begin making the international teams?

i like the idea of having a JV cup, too. or we could just switch players every game. like an alternate.
