Good points. Like chrestomanci says, the boards are here to all discuss and enjoy together, so I don't want anyone to feel left out or too much rivalry. Plus it's all for fun, so we don't have to stick strictly to just one head boy and girl for the entire membership. I like the idea of having a head boy or girl for each house and rotating the positions every month or 2...Maybe we could have a Head Boy and Girl selection topic, and a set date and time every month or two...then whoever posts their request first after the set time would get to be head boy/girl for their house for the period. That way everyone gets a chance (I could vary the set times so that members from different areas in the world get a fair chance to possibly post first).

Just a possibility...how does it sound?

How to make a website can be a whole book in itself There are many different ways to go about it. I did write a page or two of some short suggestions a while ago. I'll try to find it and give a few basic starter details in the next day or two.

OK, I think we're all gradualy putting something together now...so if it's alright we'll have a 2 month rotation period for each head boy or girl - there will be one head boy or girl per house, and we'll do the "first post gets the place" thing that I mentioned in my previous post. Everyone in each house will be eligible for the place of head boy or girl, but the existing head boy or girl will not be eligible for a second consecutive 2-monthly "term of office".

If it's OK with everyone we'll have the first selection date and time sometime during the weekend of 20th to 21st of July (I'll post the exact time in a few days). Seeing as Melody Granger has been made Head Girl of Gryffindor for now, it seems fair to allow her to keep the title for this 2-month term, so the selections will be for Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin in this first "term".

On the other subject of how to creating a website, I've started a new thread <a href="http://www.broomsticksandowls.com/forum/viewtopic.php?topic=101&forum=5&0" target="_blank">How to create a website - some basic tips</a>. I hope it's helpful.

A very big thanks for the positive thoughts about the Minister title. It's really appreciated. I'll change from Adminstrator to Minister of Magic at around 7.00 UK time on Saturday night

Definitely - you're already a moderator of Gryffindor so that will automatically give you Prefect status (a moderator and a Prefect are the same thing for the four Houses).
