i made a really awesome avatar in paint but then it was the wrong format and then it went to black & white when i changed it and it still wasn't the right format! so then i made the one i've submitted now.... i think you'll like it

There are special programmes for animated gifs. Be careful though, as these files are usually rather large for an avatar...

Choki - as Broccoli said - u can download a gif making program which will put all your pictures of a dino into one file. The files do become very big after that though o_o; I made one for DivArt and I had to reduce it to the crappiest quality and size in order to use it -_-

I tried to go to my profile and upload an image, but I realized that I can't. Is it because I'm not in a house yet and I'm still a muggle?, or is something wrong with my computer or the way the page got downloaded?, or what?

It might have taken a bit longer to show up because the avatars have to be approved. You can't have a copyrighted image, because it is in violation of the law. I am glad that your avatar was uploaded.
