302723 is the phone number on a business card in the extra stuff section of her site. you have to wait until peeves goes by and he'll knock some stuff over and the card will be there with that phone number.

how about aberforth dumbledore for who the excerpt is describing? tawny hair, streaks of grey, loping grace, sounds a lot like dumbledore, so this could be aberforth.

My first thoughts were

a) the Half-Blood Prince
b) the new DADA teacher
c) Godric Gryffindor's descendant

a) because it'd be a decent information, rather than that lion guy being some bloke Harry collides with in Diagon Alley; b) because there have always been new characters introduced as DADA teachers; c) because he's a... lion guy  and the Gryffindor symbol is a lion and a Gryffin or something is a lionlike... thing.

I don't think the book will be released in September '05. I would rather tend to say late '04, early '05.
Check this out - they say she's halfway through book 6 and this probably doesn't exactly mean she's written, like, 350 of 700 pages, but is pretty much done with the writing itself and is now re-reading and correcting everything.

Another interesting link and yet another one.

Hmm...at least it's noone we recognize...so who could it be?

Aberforth Dumbledore? But if he's a half blood prince, then why isn't Albus as well? I think the comparison to a lion points out toward Godric Gryffindor, as a lion stands for courage and is the symbol of Gryffindor. But is that possible? It seems like Harry meet whoever is described in person. On the other hand, he's met Tom Riddle personally.

I like that idea about the lion. I've never heard that before. Makes me think. And yes, DD doesn't really seem like the half blood type that JKR describes in her short description of the HBP.

He's met Tom Riddle but couldn't it be another body that Voldemort is using AND that same person is a descendant of GRYFFINDOR!
My way of thinking is very confusing and I think for the unthinkable. Everybody says no IMPOSSIBLE but I say YES WAY!
Since Gryffindor is "BRAVE" I say that he confronted Voldemort and lost! They put a bet to the battle and it happened to be Gryffindor's BODY!! So Voldemort is now using it!!---WOW! MY BRAIN HURTS!---

I just realized I sounded extremely dumb with all that MUMBO-JUMBO I just said, but then again I realized that Rowling ALWAYS has an attention grabbing secret up her sleeve, so I now refuse to sound extremely dumb and lower myself down to just normal crazy dumb!
