it's really funny....nowadays I don't watch so much anime hahaha probably due to the lack of time and tha absence of free anime to watch. Not to mention, Dino V2 (my 8 mth old pc) had an internal CPU problem which cannot be detected unless a specialised check is being done...for no more downloading...and I hate to scan thing using laptop!!!!
Because of the USB limitations...only 2 ports...brrrrr...

LOL, that's way too true...US$10 for a 15 mins reading time
Anyway where have you been all these while? It's getting quiet in BaO lately.

The reason why I bought Suikoden III - Well, I have never played Suikoden III in PS before, and judging from my previous experience with the Suikoden I and II...Suikoden III should have a good storyline and indeed it was! I only have Vol 1 to 3 so far but Vol 6 is already available in the stores. You know...too much interests and too little money

Mint, you're interested in Hong Kong serials????
I mean...wow hahaha do I sense another world domination step, a thread called Mint, choki and HK serials.

Basically, there are two broad spectrum of HK serials
1. The ancient drama (based on historical events, legends, stories from the past)
2. The modern drama (based on family dramas, sci fi, and many more)
(LOL...it seems like most shows are split into these 2 categories anyway)

Uh, work, projects,...taking lots of my time.

I am going to be away also for next 2 weeks for vacation.

Suikoden III - The plot was awsome. I can't wait till volume 3 comes out. Who is your fav. character so far?

You know couple of years ago I remember flipping channels on TV and I saw what I am now sure was an ancient drama ^-^ haa I think someone was trying to poison the emperor but he had a guy to taste his food and that taster guy died instead o.o

It seems that here we only have modern dramas. Hee - they have Sci Fi drama too? ^.^ Is the only thing that survives the time is HK? ^-^

oh wait o_o I think I saw a little piece of an episode of modern drama too. But I don't know what that was about.... A poor girl working as a maid at this rich mean lady's home...And some other 2 women were trying to steal jewelery...At least thats what it looked like to me. I was just thinking how pretty the house looked.

Lol, Mint, choki and HK serials sounds good. The closer we get to the world domination the better!! XD You can write about your fav. shows ^-^ What sort of shows do you prefer by the way? Ancient? Modern?

I guess for now, my fav character is Chris Lightfellow. I mean the first 3 volumes focused more on her than Hugo.

Lol...but that is weird...for a non-chinese to watch those HK drama esp those ancient/period drama because of its historical events
(China has over 5000 years of history and with so much dynasties having stories of their own - there's loads for the scriptwriter to write about)

hmmm...because of my extensive knowledge about history (compared to my peers) I find ancient dramas more appealing to me but of course if it is crappy I won't like it. And all those kung fu skills hahaha I wonder when will I master the ability to 'fly' the way those experts.

Sci-fi...well, it is a minority and I doubt it is that well-received. HK serials got less of superheroes if you know what I mean

Modern shows are usually about family oriented stuffs or business rivalry often involved in family matters. If the plot is good, I don't mind watching :D

yeey, Chris is my fav. too!!!

Its good that you r watching serials that have a lot of history in them. I mean, you can learn things while you watch them ^-^

I dont really watch much tv in general lately x_x serials that i do watch means basically that i see 1 eps. in a month

Choki - if you ever learn how to fly like that......tell me?please? LOL

By the way do you have scary shows like X-files o.o

You mean does HK serials have horror shows? Of course, but not so much on aliens...they are more of the supernatural type such as ghosts, spirits.
Seriously, if you ask me to compared horror movies between Hollywood production and the Asian production, I would say the Asian ones are scarier because they deal with ghosts - something which is deeper embedded in our asian cultures because most of us believe there are such things in the world.
Example, The Ring (japanese version)

Hmmm, there is one thing I find weird about kungfu movies that made quite a big name in the West. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon...seriously...I have no idea what the movie is about except for its nice martial choreography  ooooh and their qing gong (the inner qi force that they can use to fly!!!!)
