I've seen the new movie so many times, its one of my favourites but I hadn't read the books in ages because I lost one. Eventually got round to buying a new set and then it was so weird because there are these little things in the movie that you think are ever so weird and a slight waste of space and then you read the book and you realise that C. S. Lewis spent half a page describing them for some reason.
The one I can remember right now is the blue bottle fly dying in the window the first time Lucy enters the room, ever time I saw that in the movie I couldn't think why they gave it so much attention and then I read the book and there it was, a dead blue bottle in the window. Actually nice for a change to find a movie where its so obvious they have really read the books properly. They must have done to notice things like that.
