Edit function

Do you have any suggestions for this board or for the Broomsticks And Owls site?

Edit function

Postby DucksRMagical » Saturday 13 January 2007 2:23:08am

I was just wondering why this forum doesn't have the option for us to edit our posts. All the other forums I'm on has an edit function and it cuts down on double, triple, etc posts. Can we get an edit function?

It was done a while ago when we had a few problem members, to prevent people baiting each other and then going back and editing out anything before Paul saw it.

Moderators can edit posts in the sections they moderate if you ask them to nicely.

Oh, I understand. I'm just not used to not having one because on all other forums I'm on have one. And in those, the admins want you to edit so you don't double and triple post.

hmmm, maybe we can edit certain section in the forum?
like in rpg? I do make a few mistakes there and then... if there is the edit function, i can easily change those mistakes
and also, it seems like the BBcode from the rpg is not working? I couldn't bold or italics some words in speech for the impact i wanted

Same with me. Instead, I have to caps something I want to emphasize, and it makes my character sound like he's yelling.

Is the edit function available even at the FanFiction and Original Fiction boards? They're not discussions like on other boards, so would you consider enabling editing on them?

as far as I'm aware its blanket no editing for normal members however if you do scr*w up a fanfic like more than just a typo you can ask for the forum moderator or me (if they aren't active) to edit it for you.

Noone has ever really needed to do that that I'm aware of, think people must just either not be fussed or just be taking extra care to proof read before posting.
