Do you have any suggestions for this board or for the Broomsticks And Owls site?

no spoliers

just a thought, can there be an announcement or something to make sure that any threads concerning what happens in book 5 (that people post as they read) should be clearly labled so that people who are reading at a slower pace don't get the plot spolied

i agree, cause i would be really p***d if that happened, maybe set up just a temp forum for a while, paul and have it where there can be no new threads, but set up a thread for each chapter where people can discuss what they have read so far in each chapter

I like the temp forum bit, but for each chapter.. won't that be a bit hard.?After all, the chapters will flow onto eachother, and events will continue from one chap tot he next...>? :???:

i agree spoilers would be very bad...but even if you had a special forum for them how are you gonna stop people posting them in the theory threads....

have the theory mods pay a very close watch and either send them to the new forum i had the idea for, or burn them in the furnace

Well, I'll try, but as mentioned, I've got exams on 23rd and 24th, so I might be a little busy, so most of it might have to lieo n Neo's shoulders...

*Meanwhile, I have an exam in 7hrs, and I need sleep, but I'm still here!!!*

Can we rename threads, because maybe we could jsut make sure they they all have something specific in the name so that people will know the thread will be discussing book 5... ie astricks around the names or something... (provided the names dont' give anything away either!!!) ;)

thats a good idea, we must make sure everyone knows that if they are making a thread about spoilers, they have to say so in the title ( as long as the title isn't a spoiler as well)
is there a way we could group PM everyone so that no spoilers happen?

Credit indeed to 12321, and huge thanks to everyone who has had ideas about this. I've just added what will probably be the final extra forum area for book 5 - a New Characters in Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix and New Aspects of Existing Characters forum. There are also announcements in The New Members Welcome Forum, The Great Hall, The Books, Characters, Rumours, The Movies and Theories - hopefully this should cover things and keep book 5 discussions in the Order of the Phoenix sections. :)

If this works well I'm going to be jumping with happiness. :double jump:

Sadly to say, people have already been spoiled by *titles* of threads in the book 5 section which come up when you want all the posts you've not read since your last visit. Posting that a thread is spoiling (like WARNING: Spoiler Thread about Death) is good, but people really have to be careful about what they say in the title as to not give things away. There are some threads that have spoiler titles, and I'm disappointed to say I've accidentally seen one already. I didn't even read the thread. So, I'm not sure what can be done about this, but I hope something can...I do appreciate 12321's ideas, Paul's plan, and Han Lin starting this thread, I just wish everyone had read it before posting in the book 5 sections.

Oh, if you're talking about the thread pertaining to the death of a certain character, then whoever it was posted it only as a joke! Don't worry, as it has no truth to it. I nearly had a heartattack and wondered why Paul hadn't taken it away, but then I read it and saw that it was false.

Grr, these people sending me into cardiac arrest...
