House points suggestion

Do you have any suggestions for this board or for the Broomsticks And Owls site?

I like the idea, but think that the team who sets the quiz should decide on the one which scores the bonus - otherwise I'd probably end up accidentally choosing the easy one. :)

And then maybe it if was worth like 6 or 9 pts, the house that sets the qns could get 2 or 3 pts for every house that gets it wrong, so it everyone gets it wrong, they get all the bonus points???

Usually the number of points for a particular question per wrong answer per house which are scored by the team setting the questions is equal to the number of points which that question is worth (to the answering teams) for the correct answer for that particular question, so if the bonus question was worth 6 points, the team who set the question could score 18 points on that particular question if all 3 other houses got that question wrong.

I think I've just confused myself reading back through that. :) :-)

Paul is right, because if we make a bonus question then 36 points would be too much.

Okies, so how about jsut double... ie, normally, a qn is worth 2pts, so if everyone gets it wrong, the house to set it gets 6pts...

what if a bouns qn is worth double, 4pts, and so in the situation that everyone gets it wrong, the house to set the quiz gets 12pts... personally, I don't think that sounds like too much (but that might be becuae I'm looking for ways taht Ravenclaw can catch up  ) and it would be a further incentive to want to set the quizes and make harder qns, no???

And how likely is it that we will be able to set a bouns pts qn in the quiz that Ravenclaw is presently compiling??? ;)
