Gringott was proud of his new portrait. It had a gold frame, and he regularly got visits from the ghosts. He was on first-name basis with Nearly-Headless Nick now.
After 2000 years you would have thought he was used to being lonely, but now...
"I'm sick of this." He said out loud.

Gringott moved swiftly between the portraits, and left the room through a landscape scene with a sunset beach, the bathers relaxing on the shore. He grunted and ran down the corridor, ignoring the other portraits scowls as he shoved them out of the way.
He headed for the library.

"Excuse me young lady could you direct me to the library please, I seem to have forgo-... Oh, she's gone," Gringott tried to ask a passing young girl that was hurrying off somewhere.
The library had switched locations since his portrait had first been put up. Of course, Hogwarts hadn't existed fully when Gringott was alive, but he remembered the day when his portrait had first been hung there in the school Library, the Librarian oh so pleased with its shiny gleam.

Those were the days.

Ian sighed and stumbled over to the library, and buried himself into a random book entitled, "Extremely Boring Things That Happened Sometime in History". He looked over at Steph, she was talking animatedly to the portrait. Ian gave up on looking for clues from Gringott, he probably never knew what he was talking about anyway.

Galdira walked up the street, covered in the disguise of darkness, and crossed the side of the street.

He rode on a phoenix, and took flight into the air, approaching the door without cution, for that was unnecessary.

He spoke the deadly curse from outside every window in the street. They cracked and shattered, and the curse leaked in to the homes like a gas, destroying all life in the street.

5 streets every night.
1 city every fortnight.
It would not be long before countries fell.

Ian slammed the book down and walked over to the portrait. He was up to his usual blabbering, "Of course you couldn't imagine the predicament when I had no where to keep all my money! So I- what do you want?" Ian shrugged, "Dunno, do something useful... like help me with my homework," Gringott groaned, "What do you need..."
"Do you know anything about the goblin rebellion of the 15th century?"

"Your asking a portrait for help on your homework???"

Oh well...

*spots a book on the table...*

The title read...'Goblin Rebellion of the 15th century'

"ah, Ian...over here...why don't you read this??"

*pushes Ian back into his seat and puts the book under his nose*

"Here you go???!
ENJOY!!!"

*contiues talking to Gringott...*

"You know, the portraits aren't saying very nice things about students these days - and I'm not allowed to help with homework." He added for Ian.
"Why not?" asked Steph.
"How should I know? The old Headmaster shut me down for a few thousand years for it though. They used to take these sorts of things very seriously." He explained.
"2000 years!"
"Yes, indeed... I like to think that I am still rolling in my grave at the thought of it. Though I don't exactly know where my grave is... Nevertheless, the staff takes a very hard line or us helping students," said Gringott. "For the greater good, or some other tosh..."

"Well...that's very sad for your ppart, but I guess, portraits aren't really supposed to help with homework...and students don't really treat them with the upmost care and respect portraits deserve...so i guess portraits can say bad things about students..."Steph rambled,

"So why did you want to come to the library in the first place Gringott???"
