When she had finally woken Johnathon up completely they headed towards the Entrance Hall, where they saw people with broomsticks heading towards the pitch.

"Interschool Quidditch Team Tryouts!!!! I forgot!!!" Misty said hurriedly. "I really need to go!"

Do you think anyone would notice she wasnt doing her rounds.

"Johnathon, could you find someone else to help you??? I need to go to tryouts!!!" She ran upstairs.

Dinas sat up in the stands enjoying the swirling quidditch robes of different colours, swishing in the brisk wind.

Hmm, I'd better call them down. I'll tell them what's going to be going on this year.

Misty ran like her life depended on it.

Breathlessly she changed into her Gryffindor Quidditch robes in the changing rooms, and rushed out onto the pitch and joined the group huddled around Dinas...

"Nice of you to join us Miss Burns..."

"A little more commitment will be required from you in the future, Miss Burns, if you wish to be a member of this team."

Misty hung her head.

"So," Dinas continued, "I have called you here for two reasons. Firstly, because out of you lot will come seven of the sharpest, smartest, most skilful quidditch players of your age in the world. You will be the envy of the next generation of Hogwarts students.

"But first - I need your names. Or, more accurately, the team lists for each of the four houses' quidditch teams. Captains, you were told to bring them with you. May I have them now please? You others, report back here in five minutes."

Misty had luckily left the team list in her pocket inside her quidditch robes...otherwise there would be another reason not to put her on the team.

"or did it already happen to be there, Miss Burns, from Quidditch practise?"

"Mmm... alright now captains," Dinas turned his attention away from Misty and focused on the group itself. "One of the most important decisions about the team that I'll be making this year is the selection of team captain. Now, to be honest I'm expecting the majority of you four, if not all of you, to make it in the squad itself.
"And I'll be watching you all closely over the season to see how you progress. Now - is there anybody that wishes to withdraw their name from the captaincy contention? Anyone that doesn't want the responsibilities. I know for all of you, those of you that have your NEWTs this year, it'll be a big ask and a lot of work."

Arven watched as the rest of the quidditch captains raised their hands and Dinas accepted their aknowledgement. She walked up to Misty and laid a hand on her shoulder, giving her a gentle squeeze. "You can do it."

Dinas looked pleased at all the people who had turned up, I would be too if I were him..

"Now," he raised his wand to his throat and tapped it, and his voice blasted as though he was holding a megaphone, "everyone gather around. This year when I will be picking the Hogwarts team for the Magical Schools Quidditch Cup 2007, the first of an event to be held every 3 years from now in a competition that can hopefully las tthe test of time, there will be no official trials. There will simply be as usual the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup, and from those games and my knowledge of each of you I shall choose 14 players as two provisional teams, aptly named for the moment, Hogwarts A & B. As we get nearer to the MSQC I will start to cut the squad down to the official squad limit of 10. 7 starters, 3 reserves.
"In the meantime, just enjoy yourselves - the first Quidditch Cup match of the season is as traditionally... Gryffindor Vs. Slytherin, in two weeks from now. Good luck, both of you. Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, you play the following week. You are dismissed."
