The Rebellion of Souls

Postby Scarlet Lioness » Sunday 25 December 2005 1:03:30am

"Sirius Black...Harry Potter's godfather or should I say was...as he is dead also...he was inprisoned for 12 years due to the fact he was framed for the murder of 12 muggles and Peter Pettigrew...he was also believed to be a spy for Lord Voldemort, and he apparently lead him to the Potter's, Lilly and James, Harry's parents..."
Steph then went on to tell hime the whole story of how Wormtail faked his own death and what happened afterwards...

Gringott meanwhile was listening rather intently...whilst tapping his fingers on his picture frame...

Gringott began muttering to himself, getting into a sort of daydream. Ian looked at Steph, "What's wrong with him?"
Steph shrugged, "Puberty,"
"Um...," Ian began, "Gringott is... like.... hundreds of years old,"
"Yeah, it starts over again," Steph joked.
"This is not a laughing matter!" Gringott barked.
"What, you're really going through puberty?"
Gringott looked like he would just about explode.

"I believe it was a joke, Ian... :o ," said Gringott. "Do learn to get a hold of things, won't you?"

Ian turned around and began muttering insults, "I heard that!" Gringott called out. Ian shook his head and leaned back against a bookshelf, it toppled over knocking over the shelf behind it and on and on in a domino pattern until the whole library was wrecked. "Oops...?" was all Ian could say...

Lord Gringott held out his noble hand from the portrait.
"Ian Potter... how many times must I tell you to think. You're going to have to if you are to suceed in this mission. I would have expected more of you, being your father's son. Nevertheless, I must work with what I have. Come, children." Gringott beckon to them, running ahead. "We have almost reached the end of our journey."

"It wasn't a journey!" Ian said defiantly, "And I know your gonna go all Buddha on me and like 'You must look beyond what you see...' hey, you seem pretty patient to day?"

"Not a journey, eh? Sure about that?" And suddenly, the room began to change, and tables and chairs reappeared out of nowhere. Out of darkness. They had been travelling at speeds that left everything stabilised in the past. The old library was no longer at Hogwarts.

"I'm in a good mood," said Lord Gringott.

"Oh so now your a lord?" Ian said impatiently, "Well would your highness like tea... or should I crawl before I speak to you,"
Steph gave him a bad look but then he muttered to her, "Look, if I can get him into a bad mood we can get out of here," Steph gave him the 'I Bet Your just too Scared' look and walked off.

"Lord Gringott of Ngoro. Didn't you read the book?" Gringott sighed reminiscently.."those were the days you could cut heads off without questions being asked. I was the head of a rebellion, you know. The Rebellion," he announced, "of Souls."

He even made the Souls sound as though it warranted the capital letter. Then he examined the other two with a stern look on his face, suddenly cut out of his dreams.

"Now. Where do you think we are?" The Lord of the Rebellion asked.
"Errr... in hell?" Ian suggested with a confused look on his face.

It was a dark room. In the middle of the room was a dias.
On top, was a veil.

"Close," said Gringott.

Ian seemed to think they were playing twenty questions and started shouting out answers until twenty was up, then he switched to million-dollar pyramid "Things that taste like chicken.... things a monket would wear!"
Steph seemed to be getting very aggravated, "You're not funny you know,"
Ian shrugged and continued.

"We are in the Ministry of Magic, you idiot boy!" Screechd Lord Gringott. He sighed to himself, muttering darkly under his breath.

"We're in the ministry of magic idiot boy!" Ian mocked in an oh-so-five-year-oldish way. "Wait a second, we're in the what?!?!?!"

"The Ministry of Magic," Gringott said calmy, trying to relax. "The Depatrment of Mysteries, to be exact. I gather, being your parent's son, that you would have heard of such a place?"

"Ya think," Ian said irritably, "I mean no, of course I haven't heard of it, being that we visit here every month I would never HEAR of it,"

"Good heavens!" Lord Gringott exclaimed. "Why on earth would you do that? Generally only the Unspeakables are allowed in here. And rarely in this room, anyway."
