Remmy was taking a break from her homework when she saw Professor Dinas hurrying across the grounds with a package. He was obviously rushing, perhaps because he didn't want anyone to see him. Taking a closer look at the package, Remmy saw what it was. She wasn't surprised. There were always rumours that Dinas himself had played quidditch in his day, and the look in his eye as he watched the games told it straight out. It was the same longing look that Remmy gave the pro teams as she camped out at the quidditch world cup final every year. It was the look of a passion, the look of a lifelong dream, and the look of determination.

It was beautiful.

He wanted to quit teaching - he could fly like this forever.

And he was also confident that he could play professional again if he tried to train - he was not at all old.

He lay back on the K3, staring up at the clouds.

Anyone who can do this, he thought. Lying flat on their back on a broomtick... can be more than a professor.

Misty knew Arven wanted to play again...but she had just put up the list of the Quidditch team...she grumbled inwardly...Things will go to plan she thought..,.I hope...

Misty smiled "Hey, I have to go get some sleep, I've been up late these past nights with homework and such-like but it'd be great if you could come to the practise this week!!!"

Arven nodded her head as she bid goodbye to Misty. Returning to her seat by the table, she closed her eyes and thought about what Misty said earlier on. The feeling of flying had never left her heart all these while as she was recuperating despite the fact that after the incident, she had developed a fear of fall. Her parents, too, had strictly forbidden Arven to ride on the broomstick even after her recovery...

Then she realised something. Finishing the remaining butterbeer with a big gulp, Arven got up and headed towards the girls' dormitory. Her Thunderbolt was standing near the window, shined upon by the bright moonlight. She put on her gryffindor muffler and headed for the garden, with her old trusty broomstick at hand. "Nobody's here to stop me!" Arven said cheekily.

"That depends," said Dinas, stepping out from the shadows, "as to whether or not you would consider me telling your parents about this incident, as someone to stop you.

"Unless you can find a good reason for me not to report you, Arven."

Arven got a shock when Prof Dinas came out of nowhere and caught her red-handed with a broomstick. She was sure that Dinas knew everything about her since the Headmaster was going to leave the final decision with Dinas

"Professor, I..." Arven stammered a bit, "I wanted to..."
She cursed herself silently in the head. She was never good with words or expressions.
Avoiding direct eye contact with Dinas, she continued.
"I just wanna fly again..."[/i]

Remmy went to sleep that night content that she had finished what she needed to.

With a free block first thing the next morning, she decided to practice.

She ate a light breakfast, and watched as the others slowly filed out. She was among the last ten or fifteen people left in the Great Hall. Most of the others were slacking Slytherins.

She went back p to her room, and grabbed her broom. IT was th eonly one she had ever had... But she hoped that she would get a new one soon.
There was nothing wrong with her broom, but she could use a new one.

Making her way down to the quidditch pitch, she did a few laps towarm up. She then removed a small golden object from her pocket, and released it into the air. It flew around her head once, and then zoomed off. Remmy kept her eyes on it at all times. She hovered in the air, simply watching the snitch-like object. Finally, she zoomed after it. As if it knew she were chasing it, it sped up, swerved, and took sharper and more sudden turns. It tested her stamina. When she got close enough, she stretched her arm, as if willing the object to get away. Soon enough, she was touching down to the ground, object in hand.

She pulled out her wand, and made a bubble-like protective struckter around her.
Then, she did the unthinkable. She zoomed straight at one of the barriers. Going faster and faster, she was only a few inches from the barrier when she pulled up and narrowly avoided a crash.
After a few more excercises, she sat down on one of the bleachers. She conjured a rag and polish. Though it was easier to shine the brom with magic, it was a better quality shine when done by hand.

She finished her work, and headed up to the common room. She grabbed her books and headed to a double block of charms.

Dinas paused. He knew what it meant to not be able to fly.

"I wash my hands of you - whatever you do, it's not my responsibility any more."

He frowned.

"And... have fun."

The day started off pretty much un-eventful...Transfiguraton and then DADA. The transfigurations they were doing were just revision from 6th year...and DADA was spent taking notes about the new Curses, Jinxes, and Disarming spells they were learning this term. Pretty boring really...

Misty followed a group of giggling 5th years towards the Great Hall for lunch. She spotted Terry as she loked behind her to see who was laughing...he's always laughing... she thought to herself as she walked through the doors...

What's for lunch today? she though sitting at the table...Yum...pizza...

Remmy peered out the window as she and 40-50 other students waited for Professor Dinas to arrive. A few of the regular skippers had already left due to a late teacher. Twenty minutes went by, and Professor Dinas was still a no-show. Remmy began to wonder if he had gotten wrapped up in his flying.

Dinas hurried into his Charms class, a little late. Well - a lot late. They would have to get over it.

"Tut tut, indeed! I'm twenty minutes late and still nobody has thought of showing some initiative and starting the lesson - I did tell you all what we were doing today.

"Don't you remember?"

Remmy was shocked. All of her life her teachers had told her to stay in her seat. That was the rule. They taught, she listened. They spoke she kept quiet. Not once has a teacher said 'you get up and talk'

It was outside of the norm. It irked her. She had been told what the lesson was about. The whole class had. This teacher was trying to shrug off his tardiness by inserting this insane thought into our heads. "Why didnt you teach?"... "Why didnt You get up and do my job?"
Was this some kind of test?

"Excuse me, Professor," said a voice from the back of the classroom "Do you mind my asking where you were?"

"Yes," said Dinas. "I do. And ten points from whichever house you're in, for your frankness."

Terrin strode around the classroom.

"Clearly," he said. "You all know what we are to be learning today. You are old enough to take initiative yourself - I do not mean to teach the class - I mean to teach yourselves. This room should have been a quiet class of studying students by the time I walked in here. It's simply unacceptable. Now, get your books out and turn to the correct page - for those of you that remember."
