Hogwarts '06/7

A home for old scenarios who may have come to an end for RPG playing but whose life and excitement can still be enjoyed in story form.

After finally catching her scarf, Remmy walked slowly out of the stadium, grabbed her broom, and left for her pivate flying lessons with her tutor. Thankfully, the headmistress had given the OK for these lessons, and granted Remmy permission to leave the grounds alone. The tutor worked one-on-one with Remmy, and no one at hogwarts knew of the lessons except for the headmistress.

After a lovely dinner of Meat Pie and potatoes, Misty headed back towards the Common Room. But on the way saw Johnathon walking ahead of her...he was with Terry.

"Hey, John, Terry!!! Wait Up..." she ran towards the two Gryffindor boys.

The lessons were long and tiring. OVer and over Remmy would have to complete a flying course with enchanted brooms that would pop in front of her out of nowhere and she would have to avoid them, or else start over. The brooms flew in no pattern, so each time she flew the course, her reaction time, stability, and broom control were tested. Then they moved on to seeking ability. Each time the snitch seemed to become easier and easier to catch, so her coach stepped it up. A smaller, faster moving snitch was used. Bludgers and other obstacles were added. After seeking, Remmy did laps. If they weren't completed in the alotted time limit, fifteen more were added. She may not have had a the money for a Firebolt, but the rider really made the broom, and Remmy could make her broom go twice as fast as a Firebolt, no sweat.

Back in the Ravenclaw Common Room after practice, Remmy completed her Charms homework, and then further researched a few new charms and tested them successfully.

She sent her owl, Snowy off with a letter to her parents.

Dear Mom and Dad,
I'm having a great time here at Hogwarts. I'm captain of the Quidditch team again this year. We have a great new keeper. Not a quaffle can get by her. Snowy is doing great, too. Be sure to give him a bit of food if he hasn't carried in his prey with him. How are you guys? I hope the fishery is holding up. Do you like the cakes I sent you? The homework is a little harder than last year, but it's not bad. Can you send me my graded school work and next semester's curriculum from there? I've enclosed this semester's Calculus, World Studies 3, and Chemistry work.

I have to go, but I'll write back if you do.

Love,
Remmy.

Saskia sat on the stool with the sorting hat on her head please put me in Griffindor. '' Your a brave lady aren't you said the hat you, for that I will put you in GRIFFINDOR.'' I gave a sigh on relief and went to join the table.

Barely closing her eyes for a while, a soft hoot coming from the foot of her bed caused Arven to stir in her sleep. Looking at her wristwatch, the time read 9:20pm. "Wow, I've slept for an hour? It seems like a few minutes. I must be real tired," Arven thought.

She sat up and dug deep into her pocket, searching for owl treat. After feeding her pet owl, Light, Arven started to unpack her belongings. Within minutes, she had stacked up her books in the shelves and hung her clothings in the wardrobe, with the help of magic. "Glad I'm a witch!"

Dinas was not old. He had been around for a few years, yes, but he still yearned for the feel of his broomstick.

He had had enough.

He was going to Diagon Alley.

Misty was in hysterical laughter by the time Johnathon, Terry and herself had clambered through the portrait hole. Terry was a born comedian, she commented in her head.

After calming herself and a crying Johnathon. She went to warm her hands by the fire and noticed a familiar face across the other side of the common room..the name was on the tip of her tounge...Arven.

"Arven!" she called out loud, and hurried across to talk to the former member of the Gryffindor Quidditch team.

Sitting down at the table far across the fireplace, Arven took a small sip of the warm butterbeer that was found inside her luggage. She had previously bought it from her last trip to Hogsmeade before returning to Hogwarts but had forgotten clean about it. Against a cold weather, nothing was better than a mug of warm butterbeer.

Then from nowhere, someone shouted her name out loud. Surprised, Arven turned around and saw her senior - Misty, the Gryffindor Beater.

Remmy was exhausted, but she still had work to do.

She had recieved her school work from her parents. She had gotten a B in AP spanish. One point away from an A. ONE POINT. She removed her spanish book from her bag, and suddenly longed for home. She had turned down a full scholarship to one of the best schools in America. . . She had a chance to be a normal kid, but she chose curiosity over certainty. She loved being a witch, but sometimes she wondered if it was worth twice the work. There were legends that students were allowed time turners in the past, but the head of Hogwarts didn't reply to Remmy's request for a meeting. She was left doing the muggle schoolwork, on top of the full time work at Hogwarts, plus quidditch lessons.

Sometimes she felt that she couldn't take it.

Arven was rather amazed by Misty's ability to express herself so directly. Her interaction with fellow Gryffindors, let alone the others, was always kept at the minimal as such she didn't had much friends around at Hogwarts. When Misty realised it and smiled, Arven couldn't help and had to try hard to suppress a small laugh.

"You're quite funny." Feeling the mood has lightened up abit and Misty's embarrassment eased, Arven replied, "I dunno... if I can continue playing Quidditch... Headmaster said it all depends on Prof Dinas... to assess whether I'm fit enough...," her voice went soft, "to play Quidditch again..."

Terrin accessed his secure fault in the Gringott's Wizarding Bank, before heading off the Quality Quidditch Supplies to look for a new brrom.

There was a new, top-of-the-range Firebolt released, but it seemed to lack the handling of the original, favouring ridiculously high speeds.

The new Cleansweeps and Comets were starting to match in speed and handling that of the original Firebolt, but Dinas felt that overall, the Nimbus K3 out-classed all the brooms, when attributes were spread.

The K3, or the Nimbus 3000, was a combination of the comfort of the Comets, the speed of the firebolt and the control of the original few brooms released by the Nimbus Racing Broom Company.

He left Diagon Alley satisfied, and ready to soar.

"Oh, Ok...Well if you're not fit enough maybe you can help me out with Plays and stuff?? Sound like a good idea...help me out a bit...and be an official Play Maker!!!" Misty smiled...Arven was cool...that accident must've shaken her a bit...it was horrible...she remembered the day, she shivered slightly remembering what had happened...

Arven smiled and nodded. "It's great to be back..I've missed this place..." Arven looked around.

"It's great to have some more experienced people in Gryffindor to help me out...you and Terry can help me loads..."

"Yeah, I'm cool with that. I could show them some techniques about broom control," Arven said, brightened up abit. Afterall, she loved the sport so much that she spent most of her childhood, playing quidditch in a small arena magically created by her father. "It would be great if I can ever take up the sport again..." Arven thought to herself.

As soon as Terrin got back to Hogwarts, he unwrapped his Nimbus K3.

His injuries had left him many years ago, but the mental scars of the fall had left him with a phobia of flying.

Now he would overcome it.
