"Thanks Remmy..." Keshia managed in between her tears...She didn't know that she cared for Slasher this much, but now that he had dissapeared she couldn't help but wonder Where? How? is he alive? injured??

Slasher felt something pull on him.

He laughed. They were trying to get him back with a summoning charm.

Well, not they.

It hadd Remmy's stench to it.

His brow creased in thought.

Slasher rolled his eyes. Someone else had joined in. It seemed to be Keshia.

I wonder why they can't grasp that I can come back If I want, Slasher thought. It's so inconvenient to have them summoning me... feels tickly.

I have got demons to deal with, he thought.

"Stop that!" Stan yelled, "There could be a peace of evidence that you're..." Stan suddenly stopped, his eyes glazed over and fixated on a spot on the wall. He was mouthing something. Something about a demon. And then he snapped out of it, "tampering with the evidence!"

"What was that?" Remmy asked.

"Tampering with the-"

"No, that pause..."

"What pause?"

The tug stopped and Slasher was freed.

The demons were advancing. There seemed to be more and more of them appearing.

If they had easily read faces they would have almost certainly been shown to be scared.

It was not every day you encountered a wizard that was willing to drop his wand in front of a crowd of demons.

"I will count to three," said Slasher.

"Or what?" asked a demon, chuckling.

"I will leave this place, and your master will not be at all pleased."

"None can leave this place-" said Gualahpltz.

"- Yeah, nones have dones it and nones will ever dos it," said another approaching demon.

Gualahpltz stuck out a casual hand and fire lept out at the demon. It yelped.

"There's no need for jinxing anyone, right?"

"Yes, master-"

"1," said Slasher.

"- Brother!-"

"- Yes Brother," replied the inferior.

"Now..." Gualahpltz paused.

"2," said Slasher.

"You will be taken to our master. He will see to it that you are given what you deserve," said Gualahpltz.

"No," said Slasher. "You will release me, and swear loyalty to me alone. You will hand me back my wand or you will die.

"3," he finished his countdown, and stared at them.

The demons laughed.

Then they opened their eyes. And their eyes seared with pain.

"Time's up," said Slasher.

Then they had no eyes to open.

Remmy knew that pause. She knew why Stan had gone off into a trance.

Slasher appeared and she followed commands quickly and quietly.

"May I bring my father?" she asked submissively.

"You'd better bring him thats evi--" Remmy silenced him without warning.

"I was asking Slasher. He said we have to move quickly so no one say a word unless its necessary." She lifted the charm on Stan. "And I hope I can count on you to do that."

Stan's anger was rising, it was obvious, but he stayed quiet, which was all that mattered now.

"May I bring my father?" Remmy repeated, looking into Slasher's eyes. "If not I'd like to take him to my mother's house. I'd like to see that he has a proper burial."

At that precise moment, the ministry ouwl swooped into the cave, and landed on Remmy's shoulder.

Remmy held the owl while Keshia untied the notice from his leg.

"I do not think it would be a dignified way for your father's body to be carried around after death. I apologise.

"I think it would be wise for you to find a safe place for your father's body. Your home... should suffice. Everybody else, pack all you will require into these packs," he waved his hands, "and form a circle with those stones."

Slasher's packs were feather-light, as were all the contents in them.

"Should I go then?" Remmy asked.

"Yes," said Slasher. "You've five minutes."
