My god, how many straws do you have left? Wormtail betrayed them! He said he did, and if he were under imperio, he definitely would have said it to save his mangy hide

I want Sirius back too...
He was such an awesome character...There might be a portrait of him a Grimmauld Place, like one when he was younger and if Harry finds it he'll think Harry is James...or something, it'll be one of when he's 16-17 years old...

(Sorry I tend to ramble alot)

Portraits likely have the same memories of the person, everthing thats experienced, they know, like a memoir.

i hope there is some way harry can speak to him again, the best bet is probably the mirror.. although i don't think there will be any more sirius in the books... :( :(

Yes, it seems the only choice. Dumbledore only says that Snape regretted how Voldemort interpreted the prophecy, therefore I assume it was after LV tried to kill Harry that he showed remorse.

Watching Lily plead for mercy and still be killed for her son may have resonated with Snape for some reason. We don't know what happened with his own mother.

But at the end of the fifth book, Harry was upset and smashed the mirror.

Anyways, I thought about it, and I think Peter was the one who was there. I could just imagine the snivelling little rat standing there, seeing what he's done...plus, I wouldn't be surprised if LV took Wormtail with him to Gordric's Hollow that night since he's the one who spilled the beans in the first place....LV himself said in one of the books he rewards those who are loyal to him. Or I think that's what he meant at least.

Well..he does should they succed..think the metal hand....anyways, James saved Snape's life when they were back in school, and snape appeared to be furious about it, but I think that's one of the biggest reasons he stopped being a D.E. after the Potters were murdered.

if snape was actually with dd, how come he never told anyone about wormtail beein a double agent? and how come he never told anyone sirius was actually innocent. that he wasn't a death eater? he just let him in askaban? or he didn't know? but i find it odd...because there don't seem to be to many death eaters. so they should know eachother.

Snow_Patrol wrote:I think PP was under the Imperius for a year before Lily and James died and if you are under the Imperius you are not doing stuff of your own free will.. ..so when he passed that info to LV he didn't mean to (or at least so he said)...
I think he only searched for LV because he had nowhere else to go, he'd been sprung and was after protection.

i don't think he was under the imperius curse. i mean there has to be something to this "keeper of secret" thing that doesn't allow you to say the secret under the imperius curse. after all you can only say it at your will. imperius curse is acting against your will. and if he had been imperiused then he could have used this excuse and the MoM would have protected him...i guess.
but i agree... pp just saw that LV was getting stronger, and sharing the secret was his way into the powerfull circle of the moment. (b*****d!!! i wish i could punch you in the face...you coward freak!)

Come on now, do you really think that Snivellus wasn't enjoying the thought of Sirius being stuck in Azkaban? That probably made his decade. Don't you remember how much they hated each other?

But you did bring up an interesting point about about Pettigrew. Everyone knows that Snape is a spy this time around, so why wouldn't they have known that Pettigrew was a spy then? If nothing else they should know so they don't kill him while they're taking out the rest of the Order.

It's just more proof that Snape was trying to play both sides.

well it was ... i know he hated him but he had no right to do that  he should have said he was innocent. maybe this way sirius wouldn't have died...or at least would have had a better life. maybe he would have even got married (to a female! he's straight!).

*holding my fists tight and putting the upset face on...and hitting the flor with my feet like an angry little child*

bah...this is just me being so angry :D *getting over and getting back to my posting* anyway...since i'm reading this forum i only seem to be lured to the "snape is evil" side...

and as far as the topic is concerned...i sort of sure somebody's been there. i just don't se LV acting all by himself. especially when it's about a profecy concerning him. he just brought someone along to prove he has furfilled the profecy in his benefit or something. my bet's on peter...

aparently, the only scene from the films which JKR has supervised is the godric's hollow scene in the first one, maybe there's some clue as to who was there

I'd put my money on Rita Skeeter. Remember how someone said, "Stand aside silly girl!" just like Rita Skeeter calls Hermione. But, then again Snape also calls Hermione a "silly girl".

i think it was LV who says that to Lily, he didn't want to kill lily for some reason, and wanted her to move...

LV wouldn't have said that, he would have just killed her. This shows that the killer has a tiny bit of conscience.
