You are correct, Blaise . . . it was from "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" . . . I left out some of the title!
Good on you for spotting that, and I'm glad you enjoyed it, too (another great quote I liked was, "Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink.").
I think Harry dying in the series doesn't seem to fit. Especially since everything is seen through his eyes. No doubt he'll experience loss and suffering, as I mentioned, but I don't think he'll die.
Then again, who knows? I'm not J.K. Rowling.
In some ways, with Harry living through it all, it'll be a tough life, full of a lot of memories of those who will be gone, but I suppose part of Harry's charm to me is the kind of person he is despite heartbreak, loss, and a tough childhood. He could so easily have let that turn him bad, and felt very justified in it, but he hasn't and most likely won't. I remember how uncomfortable he felt when 'compared' to Slytherin Tom Riddle, but Dumbledore said it best when he told Harry, "It is our choices rather than our abilities that make us who we are." I predict a sad, yet inspired ending to J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series.
