well, i don't see why, choki! HP is enjoyable at any age! 30 is only a number anyway... of course, perhaps i took your meaning the wrong way. if so, and you were meaning that you don't feel happy that it will take so long for book 7 to come out...but then, all of us have to go through that, too, so you won't be alone! :)

LOL! My Mum will be in her late 50s/early 60s when the last Harry Potter book comes out, and you best be bettin' she'll be reading it with bifocals if she has to!

Harry Potter has ageless appeal, so no worries about what age you'll be when the books come out...unless, instead of being 30, you are 50-something cause it took that long for the last two books to be written! Somehow, I don't think THAT'LL happen! hehe No reason to feel bad, choki!

She has got the bones of all the books in her head as she sent the whole story to a terminally ill girl who asked as she wouldn't live until book 7, sadly she died before getting the letter. She just has to flesh out the story but I would still imagine a two year wait. Wish I hadn't read book 5 in a day now, could've read a page a day and lasted the two years! :D

The PoA movie is expected sometime in the middle of 2004, and the GoF movie is expected around Christmas of 2005. So I'd guess for a spring 2005 or spring 2006 release of book 6.

OotP was the first book that JKR wrote without a deadline imposed on her by the publishers, so I assume that trend will continue. I wouldn't expect to see the next book for at least two years.

I think that what will happen if what JK says is true about book 6 being shorter that PoA will come out which is June 10 2004(my brother works at a movie theatre) and if we are lucky sometime around 2005 book six will come out and then the 4th movie and then the 5th movie if we are lucky the seventh book will come out sometime after that.just a speculation.but i do know that PoA is coming out the 10th of june 2004.

Well stop driving recklessly and then nothing will happen. Driving recklessly isn't funny anyway and isn't anything to be proud of.

I've heard before that she's written the final chapter of book 7, but I've never heard about the final word being 'scar'. Where did she say that?
I wish I hadn't read that bit actually, I don't want to know anything about the very end!!!

She's said it in a few interviews. It pops up every now and then. The last time I heard it was in her last interview with Jeremy Paxman.
